Would you happen to know how I could use this to set the various Ecolink Motion Sensor restore timeouts, for each jumper? I haven't a clue about this kind of thing.
I saw a post on Vera forum, as Vera has the ability to dynamically add configuration variables to each device.
They claimed it was command param 1, hex length 1 and value 1. But with your tweaker that's not working.

STEP ONE Start by placing the controller into inclusion mode. STEP TWO Activate inclusion mode for the sensor by removing the battery isolation pull tab, or by inserting the battery (see next section for battery installation tips). When the inclusion process is complete the red LED will turn on for approximately 10 seconds and then it will go out. If the LED continues to flash repeat the inclusion process. STEP THREE Test the motion sensor before mounting it. Place the sensor in an unoccupied room. Leave the room for at least 4 minutes. Return to the room and pass in front of the sensor lens. The LED will flash once to indicate that motion was detected. Notes: ⦁ Sensor inclusion mode can also be initiated by inserting a pin or paper clip into the small round hole on the back side of the sensor. ⦁ The sensor also features a test mode so that motion detection can be tested without waiting 4 minutes. For more information refer to the “Test Mode” section of these instructions. Network Inclusion: Key Points to Remember ⦁ Controller inclusion mode must be activated BEFORE starting sensor inclusion mode. ⦁ The sensor can only be included into one controller network at a time, and must be excluded from one network before inclusion in another. ⦁ Removing the pull tab connects the battery and initiates sensor inclusion mode. Most of the time an end user would not do this, but if the sensor needs to be configured after inclusion, an end user can follow the instructions below for sending Wake-Up notifications. Association This sensor has two Association groups of 5 nodes each. Group 2 is intended for devices that are to be controlled i.e. turned on or off (on only by default) with a Basic Set. On inclusion the controller should put its node ID in group 1 but not group 2. Configuration The sensor has two configuration parameters. Parameter 1 configures the sensor to send or not send Basic Set commands of 0x00 to nodes in Association group 2 turning the devices off when the sensor is in a restored state (i.e. motion not detected). By default the sensor does NOT send Basic Set commands of 0x00. Parameter 2 configures the sensor to either to send or not to send Sensor Binary Report commands to Association Group 1 when the sensor is faulted and restored. If the controller is fully compatible with the Notification Command Class thereby making the Sensor Binary Reports redundant, the controller can disable the Sensor Binary Report Commands completely. I've got a few GE/Jasco portable smart motion sensors that I'm using with generic z-wave motion sensor driver. I tried using this too to change their reset time (Parameter 18, 1 byte, value (1-60).
I changed to the tool as driver, sent the parameter, them pressed the program button on the sensor. But it doesn't appear to have changed the reset time.
I've successfully used the tool to change other sensors in my network, not sure why these aren't taking the command? Any advice?
The original ST tweaker would with only work with mains powered devices. Not battery operated ones.
Because I rely on text to speech, I can't read the code for @mike.maxwell 's entry, but I would guess it runs into the same thing: with battery powered devices, you have to wake them up before they will accept parameter changes. So a "one-size-fits-all" tweaker type driver won't work. You will have to expose the parameters through a custom driver made specifically for that device, and probably physically manipulate the sensor in some specific way before it will accept the parameter changes. So you'll also need to check the user guide.
I have the jumper in Test and the timeout is around 5 seconds. Jumper in pet 1 and 2 is around 3 mins I think. This is only for the Ecolink sensor. Other similar brands won't work due to differences in firmware.
I have a few of sensors and haven't moved over to HE yet due to laziness.
this sensor doesn't appear to have any programmable motion timeout settings, so I guess you're stuck twiddling with the jumpers.
Ya, I have all of mine set to the Test field too. Which works great, except we got a dog and he's setting the things off constantly. I wish it were configurable, because otherwise these little sensors are the best I've tried.
this is correct, for battery zwave devices they must be "woken up" in order to receive any configuration programming.
Usually the method to do this is available physically via some sequence of pushing various buttons on the device, If this isn't noted in the manual, you can try getting the device to do whatever it's supposed to do, and very shortly after that send the parameter settings using the tool.
In other words, for a contact, open/close it then send the command ect...
If this doesn't work, then as @JDRoberts mentions this tool won't work with that device.
You would need to hit the program button on the sensor first, then send the command

Probably not, we don't think a driver is the correct place to manage these.
