We have identified a limitation affecting only the C-7 models that have been automatically upgraded to the Z/IP Gateway SDK 7.18.03, which was released with platform version 2.3.8.117.
If you have a C-7 hub and already updated to 2.3.8, prior to version 2.3.8.122, and you have a button on the Z-Wave Details page to "Update firmware," you will not be able to update the radio firmware to version 7.18.1.0.
A work around for this limitation is to downgrade the Z/IP Gateway, then update the radio firmware, and then upgrade the Z/IP Gateway again.
For C-7 models that have already been updated to 2.3.8, please follow these steps in order to complete the radio update:
- Update hub to version 2.3.8.122.
- Go to: yourHubIP*/hub/advanced/installZipgateway715
- Reboot the hub from Settings
- Go to Z-Wave Details page, then select Update Firmware to install "Z-Wave and Z-Wave Long Range 700/800 SDK 7.18.1.0"
- Go to: yourHubIP*/hub/advanced/installZipgateway718
- Reboot the hub from Settings
This will complete the upgrade for both Z/IP Gateway as well as radio SDK.
For all other C-7 hubs that have not been updated to 2.3.8, please follow these steps:
- Update hub to version 2.3.8.122
- Check the Z-Wave Details page to see if a firmware update is available. If it is, then select Update Firmware to install "Z-Wave and Z-Wave Long Range 700/800 SDK 7.18.1.0"
- Go to: yourHubIP*/hub/advanced/installZipgateway718 to update Z/IP Gateway to latest version.
NOTE: replace yourHubIP* with actual IP address as assigned to your Hubitat Elevation hub.
