Aqara FP1 New Sensor (non motion - millimeter wave based)

this looks very nice! not available outside china yet tho

TLDW doesn't use motion sensors, it uses millimeter wave radar to accurate detect presence of person in room even if they're still for long periods. (zigbee)

120 degree FOV
5 m detection distance
usb powered (BABY!!!!!)
can detect where the person is going i.e left right!

cons - not avail, not sure if it will work with hubitat but if zigbee 3 it should?

Wow! I would love to have a couple of these if they eventually become available and get a Hubitat driver!

Cool product, but very expensive

That seems to be the consensus. This thread’s been discussing the device for a while, including that recent video review.

I saw that video. There are two places in my house where I sit still and the lights go off because of inactivity. This would be perfect. The presenter said he contacted the manufacturer. They didn't have any plans to export it. Maybe someone else will decide to make one.

I finally got mine in the mail, I was able to pair it over Zigbee to hubitat. But I need to find a good driver for it. Has anyone had any luck with drivers for the FP1 on hubitat?

The critical point for FP1 sensor support in Hubitat is whether the requirements for a modified Zigbee coordinator firmware are true or not :

Adapter firmware

In order for this device to work, at least the following firmware is required on your adapter:

* CC2530/CC2531: [`20211115`](https://github.com/Koenkk/Z-Stack-firmware/tree/Z-Stack_Home_1.2_20211115/20211116/coordinator/Z-Stack_Home_1.2/bin)
* CC1352/CC2652: [`20211114`](https://github.com/Koenkk/Z-Stack-firmware/tree/7c5a6da0c41855d42b5e6506e5e3b496be097ba3/coordinator/Z-Stack_3.x.0/bin)
* CC2538: [`20211222`](https://github.com/jethome-ru/zigbee-firmware/tree/master/ti/coordinator/cc2538_cc2592)
* Conbee II: [`0x26720700`](http://deconz.dresden-elektronik.de/deconz-firmware/deCONZ_ConBeeII_0x26720700.bin.GCF)

There is still hope - I got a confirmation today, that Aqara FP1 is working when paired to SmartThings hub using an Edge driver. And Samsung have definitely not made any patches to their hub Zigbee stack!

That sounds good. If SmartThing can do it, Hubitat should be able to integrate it two.
