Hubitat.local Issues - Once Again

I've posted about this before and after trying several suggestions and troubleshooting on my own, I still have this problem where "hubitat.local" fails. It reports DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN, which means domain not found. I have lots of devices on my LAN (Synology NAS, 3 ESP32-based devices, rpi, Linux and Windows boxes, wireless router, LAN printers, etc.). Changes to the mDNS system recently? Very slow response to lookup hubitat.local

Was there a change to the mDNS system in the hubitat lately? Recently I have been suffering a minimum response time of around 5 seconds whenever issuing a MakerAPI command. Today I sat down to try to work it out and discovered after several hours of debugging that the actual request was taking at least 5 seconds from the hubitat. I could easily duplicate this with a curl command turning on or off a light. Sometimes it would take as much as 10 seconds to do so. Adding more specific timing output …

Hubitat.local doesn't work anymore?

I used to always access my hub using hubitat.local (it that mDNS?) and never had a problem with it working. Now, it almost never works. I can restart the hub and it'll work right away after but it won't last long. I tried on several browsers too just to make sure it's not a browser issue.
