Is there anyway to make h.e recognize Philips hue changes

What do you use for wall switches?

For lights that are smartbulbs? I use Lutron Pico's.

That are connected to your Hue Bridge? If the bulbs are on a Hue Bridge then it is the Hue Zigbee mesh that I am talking about.

Just to give you a little perspective:

Sorry dude, you just need to rip those switches out, then get a Lutron bridge and put some picos where your switches were... Are there any other ways I can help with spending your cash?

Smart Bulb with Smart Switch

You would want to use a switch that allowed you to bypass the relay (like the new Inovelli switches can), then use the Mirror app to make your smart bulb follow your smart switch. You don't want anything altering the power to the smart bulb.

Smart bulbs are meant to always have power so that the hub can interact with them and set the level. In the situation you describe you might be better off with either a smart dimmer switch and dumb bulb or a remote like a OSRAM Dimmer switch which can be installed over the dumb switch (so it always stays on) to control the smart bulb. There are other button controllers as well some don't fit over the switch then you'd probably want a Switch Guard which is just a plastic cover to keep the switc…

I am not able to find one posting where someone recommends running smart bulbs with switches to control them. Period.
