I got a new iPhone and installed the Hubitat App (version 2.1.0). The App is not switching to "Local" on the Home Page when I am at home and on the same Wifi Network. I have an iPad that is working perfectly.
I have troubleshot the heck out of this and found some information about ensuring that I gave permission for the Hubitat App to access the "Local Network". However, the Hubitat App is not listed in the area. I have removed the app and all associated data and reinstalled about 15 times and can't seem to get the Hubitat App to request access to my "Local Network" such that it can find and communicate with devices on my local network.
I've rebooted the phone countless times and have also rebooted and restarted the hub at least 10 times. The Hub seems to be just fine and I can access is locally with my iPad and also Desktop.
How long does this kind of thing have to languish in beta before getting pushed out?
I spent a good part of the day getting my new iPhone to do SmartStart, see closed thread below, before I happened upon this thread. Oh well.
Its part of a new major version 2.1.0, not sure how long it will take.
But I agree a fix like that should be been backed in to the current production release ASAP. Could cause major issues and confusion for new users (or anyone with a new phone).
Looks like some of the App Beta's stuff has ties to the Hub Beta, but I hope they can push the app into prod without needing Hub 2.4.1 to also be in prod.
Otherwise, this chicken/egg thing could take a while to play out.
I just setup my new phone and I’m noticing that the hubitat app consistently says cloud instead of local. I’m on my WiFi same network as the hub. The most recent app update on the App Store says it was supposed to fix that problem. Are we still waiting on another update or is there a fix right now?
