Adding Iris V1 kills zigbee

Persisted. Rolled back to 2.3.3.140

Same thing happening. Iā€™ll try a safe mode.

This is crazy ā€¦

Iā€™m at a loss.

Right, which is why I asked if you were doing this (or if it happened on its own).

I don't have any v1 devices, but maybe someone who does can see if they can replicate when pairing?

I couldnā€™t possibly turn it on and off that fast, combined with Zigbee pairing ā€¦ something is stuck somewhere. Iā€™ll try top set it up as a new hub and then restore, as a last resort.

I'm not sure this really matters for Zigbee (it does for Z-Wave), but have you tried a Settings > Shut Down, waiting for the LED to turn red, then unplugging power for at least about 30 seconds or so before reconnecting to restart the hub? The idea is to fully power down everything before restarting the hub (which is the only way to restart the Z-Wave radio, but again I'm not sure this matters for Zigbee--but can't hurt to try once).

Yes. I disabled the Zigbee, rebooted, came back disabled, enabled, worked for maybe 30 sec then it probably stopped working due to the plethora of pairing requests that were happening behind the scenes.

Nope. Didnā€™t work

Any way to reset to factory factory? As in purge everything? And maybe then restore?

You need help from @support . You can PM them your hub UUID, but don't public post it. Something is hung in a loop. I've never seen that before.

Stupid question- do you have another session with your hub on another computer? And maybe also have a mouse auto clicker installed and it's auto-clicking the "zigbee pairing button"? I know crazy ,right? ask me how I know

The thought of that is funny  but no. The only place I started working on this was the tablet. No separate sessions or browser windows. Solely in the Hubitat app.

I ended up opening a support ticket about this ā€¦

weird I have plenty of the iris v1 window/door sensors spread across 4 hubs ranging from the c4 to c7 and never ever had this issue.....

Any back door to a nuclear reset that you might be aware of?

a manual hard reset? yes goto your hub ip and add :8081 to the end ---- that will let you do a factory reset -- it clears out everything

Donā€™t see the factory reset there ā€¦

The soft reset retains the ā€œloopā€ā€¦

So you did a soft reset and started over with a new setup (not a restore) ?

Yep went through the tutorial, update and all. No restore, just blank setup from scratch.

It popped right in the logsā€¦

Happens in safe mode too.

Did you also reset the zigbee/zwave radio?

On it. Iā€™ll update this post with the result

This time, the pairing didnā€™t register In the logs after the soft reset. Restoring 3 day old cloud backup.

I really donā€™t know if the soft reset on 8081 is any different from the one within the app (I wouldnā€™t think so) but apparently THAT reset, did it.

I probably reset it 4 or 5 times from the mobile app interface ā€¦ that always came back with the loop.

Did it once from a browser with :8081 ā€¦ back in business ā€¦

Now ā€¦ let ,me tackle that sensor again ā€¦

Sensor registered. All good.
