Hi @kkossev this crossed my mind (sun heating it up), I would say it unlikely but can't completely rule it out, so I placed an aqara thermometer next to it, let's see what happens...

I purchased 8 of the below from Aliexpress because I want to track the temp & humidity around my house. The first one I tried I found this blog and @kkossev driver got me up and running. The second unit I tried I didn't get any data from the sensors, and the 3rd and 4th I'm only getting battery back(%100). Really strange, not sure if this is a manufacturing problem. I did try initialize, but that dosen't seem to help. HE is running the latest version. I have done all the work today, including latest driver. I also deleted the 1st device (becuase I wasn't getting battery) and re-added and it's still working correctly. Please advise if anyone has troubleshooting suggestions.

Hi @bavawter ,
For some Tuya devices, it is obligatory that the Tuya specific driver is selected automatically during the Zigbee pairing process to HE. Always pair the battery-powered sensors close to HE hub, then you can move the device to its final destination.

What happens when you pair this sensor to HE? Is the "Tuya Temperature Humidity Illuminance ....." driver selected automatically?

@kkossev, Yes after doing the first device it does select the Tuya by defaults. And doing them right next to HE worked. I got all to pair. Thank you for your help.

I sure do appreciate all the experts in these forums that are sooo helpful. I love my HE, and hope one day I'll have time to learn drivers and more advanced dev work.

Wondering if someone can help me - I am using this driver, and when I add the devices (temperature and humidity sensors) they only show battery - I have tried deleting the devices multiple times and when I add them they find the Tuya Temperature Humidity Illuminance LCD Display with a Clock (w/ healthStatus) by default. I have also paired them sitting right next to my HE hub...but I can never get temp or humidity. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

I use this sensor driver without any issues. Can you please post a screenshot of your device status page? Also, is there any helpful information in the logs?

I actually finally got them to pair after trying about 30x. Now the issue I have is they immediately become unavailable for some reason. I can’t ping them right next to the HE. Here is what the log shows:

Okay, let me first apologize for not being very useful. I'm just throwing darts at a board at this point.

But...

1. Are you certain you ordered the zigbee version and not the wifi? At first, I thought it supported both, but it appears they are "either/or". Do they have the "Z" on the temp logo of the device?
2. Is there a button on the device to reset?
3. Perhaps try a different set/brand of batteries?

Also, I would probably unpair all temp/humidity devices, and just troubleshoot the first one. Once it's connected and working properly, then I would begin adding the others one at a time.

It is the zigbee version. There is a reset and that’s how you get them to pair. But I’m not sure what the batteries would cause…they are triple AAA and I’m using energizer lithium. You really think that could cause an issue?

I have no idea. It's worth a try to see if it "jogs" something during the pairing process.

Otherwise; I would guess it has something to do with the "manufacturer" id. I have seen the plugin author adding new id's in the past. Maybe this one needs to be added as well?

Have you visited the device settings page; and checked what attributes are shown there? Do you have "state" variables like in my screenshot above? If so, can you please post those?
