There are four buttons on my Moes scene controller. So far, I have buttons 1 and three set up to toggle lights (1) and a little floor fan (3). All work fine.
What I want to do: I want to set up buttons 2 and 4 as follows: a) press and hold button 2 to raise light levels, and b) press button 4 to lower the light levels.
What I did: I selected ramp up with auto stop and ramp down with auto stop.
What happened: Button 2 does not ramp up the lights if they are off. If I turn the lights on with button 1, then press button 4 to dim them down, just pushing it dims the lights to zero.
The problem: All I see for a choice is âPushedâ. There is no âHoldâ or âHold and Releaseâ.
What am I doing wrong?

Are you talking about the app below? If so, thatâs not a built-in app, so you may get more traction by posting this question in that thread (where its developer and other fellow users are more likely to see it).

You may want to look at Dimmer Button Controller
You might need a different driver. 
Start by identifying the specific model number of the device you are working with.
Your device may not have a Release capability, lots of ZigBee button devices do not.

I second taking a closer look at the device first to confirm it has the expected capabilities.
If the device canât send button âheldâ and âreleasedâ events, then it doesnât matter which Hubitat app one tries to use.

Iâve a better idea: can you - or anyone else here - suggest a good Zigbee or Z-Wave (or Matter, for that, hum⌠matter) button set that will do what I am trying to do? I have a ton of Picos here, but really donât want to have to leave a Lutron hub in place just for buttons.

The Lutron Pico remotes are probably the best, most reliable button controllers to use with Hubitat. I originally bought my Lutron Caseta Smartbridge Pro2 just to be able to add Pico remotes. I was so impressed, that I replaced all of my Z-Wave Dimmers and Switches with Caseta Dimmers, Switches, and Fan Controllers.
If you have Picos already, I would suggest you use them. I use them to control smart bulbs (Philips Hue) on nightstands and floor lamps. They work great for on/off/dimming functionality.
I have about concluded that this will be the best way to go. Now, all I need to do is find a past thread I started about using Picos (Picoes?) as a button set rather than something tied specifically to a Lutron device.
