THIRDREALITY Dual Smart Plug ZP1 (Fingerprint)

Just snagged one of these, its supposed to have dual independent control and monitoring.

Detected as device, generic driver sorta works, but only controls left outlet.

Third Reality stuff is usually pretty standard, the built-in ZigBee Multi-Endpoint Switch driver may work to control both outlets.

Yep, tried that one too, controls both outlets at the same time.

The device seems to not fully register or respond with a status properly from the Commands page. The on/off toggle at least visually "flaps" and goes to the previous setting.

Not sure what is up with that, been awhile since I used the Commands page, probably not at all since the new UI change.

Hmm. It's been a while since I used that driver but it should create some Child devices after you hit configure.
Which should then control the outlets individually.
This is the only Child driver I could find as an example.

The fact that the device did not have the proper driver selected likely means the clusters were not properly intialized, which would explain the lacking functionality. I'm sure as soon as @ThirdReality gets @mike.maxwell a working unit, we'll have a proper driver, probably inside the ZigBee Multi-Endpoint Switch driver.

Yeah, sample of this device just arrived, so I should be able to look into this within the next few days

Thanks Mike!

Guess they got just a tad bit ahead of themselves and listed it as compatible with Hubitat on the product page already knowing it would be later. I got it on Amazon, which doesn't list Hubitat yet, but the manual that came with it does.

Not sure why it didn't get child devices either.

Removed and added it several times just messing around too.

No worries, looks like it'll all be good soon.

I have this switch and use the Zigbee Multi switch and got the following. Thanks

I cannot edit or change it name etc. as it cannot be edited separately from the parent. I sure Mike will fix it.

child devices can be renamed:

I just got one of these plugs and got it setup and responding with the generic zigbee multi-endpoint driver. Have renamed the individual plugs. All seems to be good so far.

Curious if any word if a driver will be available that adds power monitoring?

@mike.maxwell sorry I'm out of town when I get back I will to change the name. I didn't know if there was a difference between generic component switch or child devices. Thanks for the info.

Added question,

I just tried the device swap to replace the individual plugs in for old plugs.

I am not seeing these plugs as an option for the swap.

Maybe just my old eyes missing something??

Not supported atm.

Thank you for the info.

I just got this and by default, it didn't assign itself a particular driver. Found this thread, assigned 'Generic Zigbee Multi-Endpoint Switch', click Configure, and now I have child devices (a first for me).

Now we just need to get the power monitoring to work.

When installing mine I get these errors and no child devices were created and the switch is not usable. Going to update firmware and try again.

It did choose the right driver,

Got it working on the generic multi endpoint driver, but it's sending a frequency report every 2 seconds...that's crazy. Probably gonna pull it, unless that reporting comes down. I recall having some Gen 2 3R single plugs that did something like this, ending up returning them for Gen 1. Shame, pretty usefull plug.

Probably @ThirdReality have joined Tuya and Sonoff in the contest? :smiling_face_with_tear:
