The new Tuya Human Presence Sensors ( TS0225 _TZE200_hl0ss9oa _TZE200_2aaelwxk) have actually 5.8GHz modules inside

This looks like the one I posted above just a few posts up. Mine was a 5.8g sensor inside. I hope yours is a 24g. They are a bit of a pain to open. I squeezed the ends to get it to open the gap on the sides. The back cap is held in on the ends, but if you get a spudger in the side you can work to the end. The ball is friction fit on a post on the back so don't worry if you pull it off.

I have the similar on two of mine. The line number may be different due to different driver version.

java.lang.NumberFormatException: null on line 1921 (method parse)

Can you replicate this error? I need to know which driver version you are using.

This is a mains powered device.

Some sad news. The round sensor I received like the one in the first post with the siren is actually a 5.8ghz sensor inside and not a 24ghz sensor.

I got it from here so caveat emptor.

Also, sad news... this item is also a 5.8ghz sensor.

On the plus side this Linptech sensor is 24ghz. Pretty sure this is the same device as the MOES version.

Yep, the antenna size of the sensors sold by HAOZEE and IHOMECAM doesn't look to be 24GHz.. :frowning:
Although I can not be 100% sure, I am not a microwave RF expert...

But I will check with my seller.

I am 100% certain. 24ghz has two patches. the 5.8ghz has one.

There are different type of antennas, including single patch ( not the typical phased array used in most of the 24Ghz antennas).

Sample single patch 24Ghz antenna : (link) ;

It has a very wide radiation pattern, suitable for covering a wide area.... The phased arrays multiple patch antennas are much more directional.

but ... 24Ghz antenna would be 4 times smaller in size!

So, yes , I agree that this is a 5.8 GHz module and a fake product. :frowning:
It's a pity, as the firmware seems good.. except, if all these settings are fake too?

I guess, I have the same ones as well...

TS0225_2AAELWXK_RADAR - v1.0

Yes, these are the same ...

The next question is whether changing the settings for 'large move', 'small move' and ''breathe' make any difference or not.

I will wait for a day or two for an answer from the seller I bought mine before I add 'fake' in front of the '24Ghz' in this thread subject. And I will open a dispute and ask for a full refund, of course.

Well, two things:

  • It works so maybe its not all bad
  • You may want to open yours and check it. I believe it will be the same as mine, but it could be a 24g model. We should probably make sure.

@iEnam Looks a lot like mine, but yours is 2 minor rev versions higher.

Looks like I got scammed also. :pensive: I thought it was too good to true at those prices. My 24 GHz MIR-HE200-TY (with fall detection) was a lot more expensive. $60 or something like that. At least I think it has a 24 GHz sensor in it. Now I have to go yank it down out of my garage to put me at ease. Dang you scammers on AliExpress!! So the people who bought the Linptech Presence Sensor ES1, what are your thoughts on it?

I also have the ZG-205ZL v1.2. I was hoping to learn a little more about these, but there is no FCC ID or Industry Canada reference associated with them so it put a halt on that idea. I would have thought this would be necessary to use here. Given the one I bought seemed to work so well, I ordered four more before the question of 5.8/24G came up.

Anyone out there with an RF Spectrum Analyzer? Most would at least measure 5.8GHz which could offer some insight.

I like it ok. Need to spend some time tuning it and also sleuthing the codes with the Tuya hub. Wont get to that until late next week. The driver isn't fleshed out for this device yet. I see MOES is selling it now so hopefully their prices will be lower. After the teardown I'm pleased with the size of the module. It will work for me if I re-case it with a battery etc.

Here is a product listing for that 5.8g module.

Moes is going for $22.77 on everyone's favorite online seller's site Aliexpress. Amazon has Linptech version for $29.99 with one-day shipping. I might try one via Amazon. I opened up disputes with the seller on Ali already. I am demanding a full refund and they pay for return shipping. They can afford it with all their ill-gotten gains from scamming. LOL I noticed they edited the listing for my order and quietly removed the "24 GHz" parts. Slick... but I had a screenshot of the original listing. They removed the 24 part so they could say we never said it was 24 when someone disputed the seller with AliExpress. Then they will relist the scam item with 24 GHz. Rense and repeat. I am actually not displeased with the sensor's performance but it is the principle of it.

I did the same. Can always dispute it with Paypal. I sort of expected at least one of mine to be 5.8g.

I have the confirmation from the seller that the mmWave module inside is 5.8GHz :

We will see what the next steps will be. The seller is responsive and tells the truth, but the false advertisement is a fact that should not be left this way.
