Sylvania LIGHTIFY Smart Switch 8 Functions/ 4 Buttons

No. All on original batteries. I have previously noticed when I was on SmartThings that a weak mesh would kill the batteries. I believe that end devices cut back their output when the RSSI is strong. Probably why you have only noticed with a few.

I talk about the magic reboot sequence (34, 14, 23) in a post on my blogspot, rickalm

All of your conversation got me to this combination. It solved my issues, thanks

It’s not correct. 3&4 is for zll pairing. It turns red because it fails to pair, otherwise it would turn green. 1&4 resets and 2&3 pairs. The info for this I found on the European site, where they also advertise availability of zigbee 3.0 bulbs that are compatible with the Hue bridge

Thanks Ken, I updated my blog post to reflect that.

Feel free to link, I was blocked from doing so

These connect with no issues to new empty Hub. I’m connecting all of my end devices to the new hub and will update with my results, but so far it looks promising.

One day in with 9 of the Lightify 4-button paired, 10 Sylvania 2-Button dimmers, 4 Hue dimmers, 2 Iris contact, 3 Sylvania motion sensors, and 3 Samsung plugs. All switches working perfectly on first press, no drops.

2 days in and still not a single dropped button press.

Taking my Iris 3210-L out of zigbee repeater modes solved my issues. I assume their implementation is flawed or something between the lightify switch and hubitat or lightify switch and Iris.

I can't seem to get these things to work right. They pair but they don't work on button presses. I can spam a button then it will show up in the log or I can hold which seems to be more responsive. I've tried over a dozen resets and configures. I tried deleting from the system in re-adding multiple times and still the same end result.

What else am I missing?

What does http://Hubip/hub/zigbee/getChildAndRouteInfo say? Do you have any repeaters?

I have 12 entries in the neighborhood table if that's what your asking. The button doesn't show up in the route table.

On the device page does it show pushed, held, and released for each button? If not, press buttons 2&3 at the same time and then hit configure immediately while the green light is flashing. Mike said they have a lot to configure. Otherwise let me know what devices are your repeaters.

Start Zigbee logging, and then cycle through all the buttons. Check out the cluster IDs, and then read Mike Maxwell's earlier post (#100). I went through this exercise, and found my old cluster IDs were incorrect, but after performing Mike's suggestion, and then re-checking, the Smart Switch has been perfect.

I have all those commands but I need to enter the number(1-4) and press the command. I have mostly Sylvania Outlets and Peanut Smart Plug.

I couldn’t keep mine working with the peanuts. I have picked up a few GE zigbee switches on clearance at a few different Lowes in my area for $5-8 each and have phased out the peanuts. I also have the Sylvania plugs and 4 Samsung as well. The Samsung seem to repeat for at least 8 devices each.

It has been over a month since I moved 9 Lightify 4-Button switches to my new HE and they all still work on the first press every time. I will say they were the first things I paired to the new hub, and there are only Samsung, Sylvania, and GE plugs and GE in-wall switches as repeaters (no Peanuts).

I was one of the first to use one of these button devices. I had trouble with it missing first and sometimes second presses. Then one day I lnocked it out of it's holder on the wall and when it hit the floor it physically came apart into several pieces. I put back together but it kept coming apart and when it was together, it didn't want to work half the time. So If you like this device, don't drop it. I ended up tossing it in the trash and replaced it with this one, which has the same functionality, but seems much more reliable. And it even has a rechargeable battery.

They have been working perfectly for me and for $8 each I am thrilled. I have dropped them and they came apart, but I haven't had any issues with them staying together. I put a 3M contact strip on the back of the ones that kept getting knocked off. When I bought my second hub, I paired all 9 of these first. They take a while to load the configuration, but once done I haven't had to mess with them. I even changed zigbee channels 3 times while trying to find the least interference, and they picked it up immediately. I think the Peanut plugs I had were the trouble prior to getting the second hub.

They aren't $8 any longer. $25 last time I checked. :frowning:
