Success with Sinope TH1300ZB floor thermostat

I received this just released device and it works with the generic zigbee thermostat driver. As far as I know this is the only floor heating thermostat that doesn't need another gateway device or cloud control.

Very nice! Been waiting forever for them to release this thermostat. My wife is going to kill me for swapping out the neviweb model to this. :zipper_mouth_face:

drivers for all the Sinope thermostats will be in platform 2.1.2.

Has the bunny had a look at these thermostats?

not officially, keep in mind none of them support air conditioning, all of them are heating only.
And they all do what they say on the tin...

Hello,

My integration with hubitat is working perfect without any issues. But i would like to add it to my google home and it won't works. I have a message in the log:

The following devices are not supported by Google Home and will be removed from your device list

Any input to resolve this?

thank you.

Google expects thermostats to have cooling setpoints, being heat only devices isnt the case.
At some point we may try to figure out how to provide a heating only thermostat, but in the mean time that's why it doesn't work.

Ok, thank you for your answer.

Hello, i find a solution with virtual thermostat in virtual device and machine rules. So now i can control and get the information from my sinope thermostat and my google home.

I'm installing my second radiant floor heating system in the house this week and wonder how those of you who are using the thermostat like it. I currently have the nu heat signature Wi-Fi on the first install and it works well. Doesn't integrate that well with habitat other than I can set the temperature but I really can't program it since the drivers we have Don't fully integrate with the API which is just a rip-off of what they put together for smart things.

It would appear that I could use this truly as a ziggy thermostat and habitat and change everything through the hub. Any opinions any of you have on it would be greatly appreciated

@sylvainboilydroid how did you achieve this? Can you share your rules? I managed to get the virtual thermostat up and running and post to google home but not sure how to sync it in Machine Rules with the physical one :frowning:

Hello,

I created a virtual thermostat and some rules to managed it.

Thank you @sylvainboilydroid I managed to get the virtual thermostat to work and even update the temparetur in rooms but...
I copied the rules and whilst it worked initially I had some strange behaviours i.e.: physical thermostat kept changing the temperature down to 20 degrees even when I set them to i.e. 22.5 through Google Assistant. Have you had such issues? See below example where I set to 22.5, whilst I need to work out how to fix precision point issue (which sets temperature to 22 instead of 22.5 on my physical thermostat) actual issue is visible at "2019-12-24 11:59:29.761" where for whatever reason thermostat heatingSetpoint is set to 20*C and I don't really know why :frowning:

I'm considering getting one of these (Sinope TH1300ZB).
Would anyone mind posting what the device driver commands and properties look like?
Curious what I can read and set on it before purchasing.

I think this is what you are looking for?

Thank you. Safe to assume the cooling and fan don't do anything, and the it's the 'heat setpoint', 'mode' and 'heat' that are the only actions that work for this model?

One thing I don't like this thermostat is the relay is quite loud when it's on. Way louder than my old none smart one.

Yes, I am using it just for heating my tile floor. So cooling and fan are not applicable.

Interesting? My current manual dial one is silent.
Is it like a humm or what kind of loud sound?

Not humming. Just a click of a relay just like a smart light switch relay.

Ah, interesting. So a one-time click for on/off?
Thanks for the heads up btw.
