Startup

It's performing the reset.

It tells me the connection has timed out

Ok the fact that you're able to do this shows it's not a hardware issue. When shutting down the hub do it from the settings menu. If you just unplug power to the hub you risk corruption of the database.

How do I shut it down without unplugging it.

Just use the reset button only

go to your hub ip, click settings then shutdown hub... (or reboot if needed)

I've never seen that screen

So I have a green light on now and have done nothing else.

once it's backup simply go to http://192.168.50.17

Click Settings on the left

So if this was set up before, you can now restore from onboard backups (or cloud backups if you have a hub protect subscription) or if this is a new hub, go ahead and start setting things up

I show a welcome to hubitat get started menu

Was the hub setup before with any devices or rules?

Brand new out of the box. Updating firmware now

Welp, there ya go... You're good. Start setting stuff up... I recommend reading the following post since you're new. It will help avoid some gotchas.

Thank you I appreciate the heads up.

Do I need to worry about eliminating some of the information on this thread.

The only thing I see is the IP which is just an internal LAN IP which is useless to anyone else.
I dont think you shared anything sensitive.
