Smoke detector reporting 1% battery when full

I'm having trouble getting my smoke detectors to report the correct battery level.
Device: First Alert ZCOMBO
I had been using the smoke detector for a short time prior to purchasing a Hubitat. So the batteries are relatively new. I just added the detector to my Hubitat Devices. Initially, the battery was reported as 100. Then I ran a test on the device, and now the battery is showing 1.

I found another topic that is similar, and their problem was solved by testing. Whereas it seems like mine was caused by it. Smoke/CO Alarm Battery Level Issue

Any advice from the community?

Logs are below.

My one zcombo seems to be reporting battery ok; hourly.

You could try this custom driver and see if that makes a difference.

You could try new batteries just to eliminate that.
Measure voltage on old ones.

You said the batteries are new. Are they rechargeable?

Could hurt to eliminate as a problem.
I wonder even if power cycling via changing batteries, might not hurt.

I went ahead with @velvetfoot 's advice and swapped out the batteries for new. Now they are reporting 100%. Maybe the power cycling was what it needed.

The batteries themselves weren't rechargeable, and shouldn't have been anywhere near 1%. But into the drawer they go for a second home in a remote or mouse.

Appreciate the help, guys

As a mechanic, I learned that new meant Never Ever Worked.
