SmartThings now permanently offline

Technically, ST's Ring integration is all cloud-to-cloud. You can keep Ring on ST and keep your ST hub offline--as long as Hubitat is getting the events (say, from the krlaframboise Other Hub integration, cloud-to-Hubitat and vice versa), you really don't need the ST hub online at all. I know you've already got motion covered, but just an idea in case anyone else wants to without using IFTTT.

ST will eventually bug you that your hub is offline ("Tell us why! Are you moving? On vacation? Having tehcnical problems? Click this link!"), not that I've done this myself.

All I have left are four ESP8266 boards tilting my blinds. I tried porting the existing device handlers to no avail. If I want to move them over I'll have to learn a bit of groovy. (Or wait til @ogiewon makes a blinds capability for ST_Anything) :sunglasses:

I turned my SmartThings hub off this weekend after finishing up the move of 228 devices and a bunch of webCoRE pistons. Everything has been working well!

Last week I shut down my ST hub after migrating a few custom drivers for my entertainment devices (e.g. receivers and televisions). So far so good! :fireworks:

I will be shutting mine off eventually too. Just waiting on some better Ecobee thermostat control, some fixes to pin management on locks, and Harmony connectivity. Can't wait!

I think I may start moving stuff across now I have the link working correctly! Then plan on using the ST app for some control and a presence device until HE has one. I'm still waiting for some devices to be fully support though but I think it's getting close

Use life life360 @BorrisTheCat it's working better than the ST presence ever did for me. Pushover for notification and sharptools.io to bridge the app gap until HE release there own app.
My ST hub is now turned off and HE is working great with a mix of fibaro, smartthings sensors, sonoff.

Turned my ST hub off today. I did have some minor stuff running that to be honest was just niceties but not really necessary.
Don't let me down HE.

Here's to the future of Hubitat!

Turned my ST Hub off when I moved out of old house on 9/21/2018 Brought the HE hub online around 9/26/2018. Much to learn.

Side note, one of my laptops is running hot. So for now- my ST hub is used as a "block" to keep it in the air while a small fan blows under it. It hasn't failed doing its job since.

Sooo...your in North East PA and migrated from ST to Hubitat....care to show some love for a user in Fairview that just ordered a HE hub? I only have about 80-90 devices...webcore, BlueIris, Harmony, Google Home...

Thanks to Lock Code Manager I turned my smartthings off today.

I have some items left in SmartThings that dont seem to port over.
my list is:

Yale Lever lock
Doesnt work in Hubitat with the LCM, the unit gets discovered but never ends up finishing.

Harmony Hub
I have it integrated into Hubitat, just havent removed it form ST.

GarageIO Door opener
I am pulling this over from ST into SharpTools for my wall touchscreen setup, not sure if Hubitat is working on an integration (i suspect not)

Honestly if I could get these into Hubitat then my ST setup would be long gone!
I have gone far enough to consider replacing my garageIO setup with some Zwave Garage door controllers just to get those out of SmartThings.

Until the LCM lets me use my current lock and until it gets a tad more advanced like RBoy Apps I need to keep it where it is.

All this pains me, Hubitat is perfect for my home, it runs great, fast, it is growing every day.

The lock is seen by the driver, works via the driver and you can put in codes and delete them via the driver?

Click the question mark in Lock Code Manager to the right of the gear or select help from the kabob menu on the top right and you'll get to the Lock Code Manager documentation.

What happens is when i go to pair the lock (and this could be the Yale itself) it sees the unit, says it is complete, but the device in Hubitat never shows as communicating.
I can put in codes, but because the device wont respond, nothing happens and they just fail.

What @SmartHomePrimer said and.. I see: "never ends up finishing"

LCM is a Manager for Codes on a Lock.
LCM does not manage locks, it manages the codes that they save.

If you have a static lock code situation LCM doesn't bring much to the picnic. It allows you to change codes, but if you're not changing codes (or adding for a cleaning person, nanny, etc) then why fight with LCM?

You first need a LOCK fully, and properly working in Hubitat. And "never ends up finishing" makes me wonder if you do.

Locks MUST pair securely. If they pair, non-secure, you get the symptoms you describe.

So that's a joining issue or pairing issue (not sure if you have Z-Wave or Zigbee lock). That's nothing to do with LCM.

Thanks, i never said LCM was my issue, it is defintely the unit itself and i bet it doesnt pair securely.
We have a maid who comes once a week and I like to schedule their code access to just the time and day they arrive, i also add and schedule visitors. For example we have friends coming in from Wisconsin in December, its good to create them a code, send it to them, have it activate when they land at the airport, and have it disable/delete when they leave to go back home.

I love my Hubitat, just a few things i need to sort out. The lock is a YRL-220, I am going to go do some more research on how it pairs.
