It appears that use of variables in a rule using ping operation is not allowed..
What happens if you type in the variable there - rusty on my RM but something like:
%variable-name%
Thought I had tried that, but evidently not; it works w %%. But inconsistent (which I hate) w normal RM variable use model....

2.2.9,140 did not cause the Lutron issue but the fact is that removing it solves the other 3 issues. These are facts, deal with it.
Frankly, your way of interacting with us leaves zero incentive to help you. Deal with that.
