[RELEASE] HomeSeer HSM200 Multi-Sensor

there a few places that sell battery replacments that is basically a battery that is connected to brick that plugs into the wall. but then if the power is out you loose you motions and it is FUGLY to power up the wall LOL

i would love these if they were have the cost and motion + one other thing or heck just motion. the RGB does nothing for me as im colorblind, i could so white, blue and red and that would be it.

edit: where do you find the NYCE motion sensors they are out of stock and i like idea of ones on the ceiling

I just bought one of these just for the LED color notification and I can't get it to work.

The LED on this thing is very awkward at best.. It only supports full on (255) of each color element..

I just wasn't having any luck even just turning on the LED, but I was able to get it to work with the EZmultiPli driver by erocm1231, not sure why your driver wouldn't work for me.

Not to hijack this thread but I haven't found an answer elsewhere and there seems to be a lot of knowledge on the HSM200 in here.
Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity for motion? I have 3 units. One is reporting motion every 2 minutes which is how long it takes to return to inactive is what I've learned. Another is not reporting active motion as often but a lot of false alarms. A third one seems to be working just fine. I attempted to use these for motion sensing for Safety Moitor on Away but I have to keep switching back to Home mode to stop the alerts. Any advice?

How do you force it to do a refresh. it works well except it does not update the temp untill i go into the device and select refresh.

I see your post from 2020 regarding HSM200 device driver. I’m new to HE and I need some help.

These two years later, has Hubitat included yours or a similar driver on their included drop-down driver choices? Or should I use yours or another driver so I can control the light on the HSM200

I’ve never loaded a custom driver. .

By the way, I’ve tried a generic z-wave RGB driver from the drop-down choices and that wouldn’t turn on the HSM200 light.

I also tried the link to add your 2020 driver but don’t think I’m doing it right.

I want the multisensor to act as a status light for certain conditions of locks and contact sensors.

Don’t have one of these, but the primary function is as a sensor, so an RGB driver isn’t going to work. Looks like you may have an appropriate driver loaded now, have you hit Configure since you changed drivers? As to the LED functions, I’m guessing that there should be a command in the driver that would allow you to alter the colors and that that command could be utilized from RM (probably under Custom Commands).

Hey Mark. I have three Homeseer motion detectors, and two of them seem to get stuck in motion active status. Any suggestions? FYI, when I was on ST, I also noticed that — get this — they seemed to pick up signals from each other. I don’t know how that’s possible, but….

one of mine occasionally gets stuck too or misses the turn off command.. I use them for night lights and occasionally it doesnt turn off. Walking by it again seems to fix it.

I know it's an old thread... bumping here to check in. I bought 2 of these and motion sensing basically doesn't work as far as I can tell. Every once in a while it seems to work, but not often. Does anyone successfully use these for motion, or is it really only good as an LED and temp sensor?

I use this drover and found it must be paired s2 for everything to work. It also takes a few minutes after hitting configuration in the driver for it to start working.

Thank you -- yes, this seems to work! Thanks for the warning to wait a while after hitting configuration. That was probably part of the issue. I was also using the other community-based driver that has HSM200 in the name, but it seems to be hitting some of the wrong parameter IDs for some reason; maybe the specs changed after that driver was released. EZMultiPli works better.

I also updated the lux and temp updates to come every minute. The motion sensor seemed to not be switching to "off" until 10 minues passed otherwise. Pretty weird that that doesn't have it own setting; I guess it just uses the same reporting frequency as one of the other sensors for the "off" message. Now the sensor seems to switch to "motion=true" for 1 minute and then will turn off again.

I am looking to trigger a rule in rule machine based upon the color the bulb has been set to . Would you happen to know if this would work

I am not sure how I would find out information regarding triggering a rule based upon the color the buld was set to.
