Power Reporting on Generic Zigbee Outlet Issue

This device is not capable of reporting power.

Thanks, that was my suspicion after viewing Sylvania's web site. I emailed their customer support seeking confirmation that 72922 does not report power. I was too eager to equate a "Generic" capability to a specific product's ability.

there isn't a need to do that, power is reported over cluster 0B04, which this device does not advertise in its inClusters list.

Sorry for bumping this old thread, but I'm having issues with my Iris V2. I set the 'automatic power recording' setting to 5 watts, but I've never seen anything in the log which reports power. Is there something else I need to do?

I'm using the generic zigbee outlet driver. If it helps, this is what I see in the device details section in hubitat:

  • endpointId: 01
  • application:
  • manufacturer: CentraLite
  • model: 3210-L
  • powerCluster: 0702

I'm also seeing weird stuff, every second report is way off. Smarthings power socket, the two events are within seconds of each other.

To follow up on this, this what I see in the logs:

inforeporting configuration for Metering (cluster 0x0702), attribute 0x0400 failed, unsupported attribute

Any idea why this is happening? I'm using the Iris 32010-L, which, according to this description on Amazon, does support real time access to power consumption:

I noticed that the power reporting for the Iris outlets also stopped working at some point. Not sure if it was after the last update or not, but I never had any issues in the past. In fact even after moving to a C7 hub they are still not reporting.

Mine are still reporting as expected (C-3 running the Generic Zigbee Outlet driver on 2.2.4.158); however details shows:

  • endpointId: 01
  • application:
  • manufacturer: CentraLite
  • model: 3210-L
  • powerCluster: 0B04

Actually looking at the event logs again it looks like it stopped right after I migrated to the C7 hub. So this must be an issue with the C7 and not all hubs.

I am using the same driver as well.

My Iris are broken on C5 too.

reporting configuration for Metering (cluster 0x0702), attribute 0x0400 failed, unsupported attribute

I rarely use the power reporting for these, so I don't know how long it has been broken.

@raidflex @bissadaj did either of you file a support ticket for this?

There is a bug in the 2.2.4 driver, it's been fixed in 2.2.5

@mike.maxwell It's a pretty major bug. You cant hotfix it?

I can't speak for Mike or Hubitat, but a couple weeks ago Bruce said there was a moratorium on 2.2.4 updates.

I am assuming that 2.2.5 is getting close to release or testing, and it will be easier or quicker to just work it into that update?

Nonetheless, it's a pretty major bug. Power reporting; power reporting!

I'm staggered it's been allowed to fester.

You can always roll back firmware . Did you recently update? 2.2.4 has been out for a long while so surprised this is just coming up as a major problem.

FWIW Power reporting is working on my C4

not now, but you can switch over to a community driver, or use the GE zigbee switch driver.

Thanks!

Apparently nobody reported it or caught this bug. I haven't seen any widespread threads about this on the forum, and the first report about this particular device was 5 days ago.

So not sure how this has been "festering"?

You may be correct. I might be conflating my zwave pendingswitch issues that still dont work. Plenty of talk there. Zwave pendingSwitch
