I had a Z-Wave contact sensor go bad today. I usually have a couple spares, but don't today.
I bought 3 of these today and they will be here tomorrow ( Philio 4-in-1 Slim Z-Wave Multisensor Motion, Door/Window Contact, Light and Temperature Sensor ).
For $13 ea. I couldn't pass them up. That said, has anyone used these before. I really don't want the motion/light/temperature part of them, only the contact. Is there a driver out there that will let me disable those features?
If it's the PST02, it looks like there is a native driver for it.
The device parameters will probably allow you to disable features. If those aren't surfaced in the driver, you can always use the Basic Z-Wave Tool or Jeff"s Universal Z-Wave Scanner tool to change any ZW device's parameters.
No clue. I'll see when they get here. Thanks for the info. I was unaware of Jeff's Universal Z-Wave Scanner tool. I'm going to check that out now. I have a few motion sensors I'd like to disable lux and temperature. They just eat up battries.
Always loved the Philio P devices. The PAT02 remains the best / most accurate / reliable Z-Wave temperature & humidity I ever tested. Wish they still sold them for the US market.
They’re easy to write drivers for. $13… kinda tempted to order one just because…
I just got 2 of these and I'm baffled by where the "tamper" keys are. I found the manual but all it says is there is one in the back and one in front and I can't figure out where they are!
Can someone point out what I'm supposed to press to start the inclusion process? Thanks for your help.
UPDATE: I figured out where the tamper key is - it's the little plastic string like thing on the right side top .
@dennypage - I installed your driver (it says PAT02-B). My device is PST02-2A and I'm trying to figure out what settings I should turn off to just get contact open/close events. I don't need humidity, motion or temperature (battery would be nice to have).
PAT and PST are different models. A couple of folk have modified my driver for support the PST, but I don’t have the link to hand. Have a search for PST02 in the forum. I believe it was posted about a month ago or so.
Thanks - I went back to the built-in driver for now and will search for the modified one(s). If I can’t get those, I may try turning off some off the attributes using the app referenced in an earlier post.
