Hi,
I would like to know if it exist something to integrate kia connect app to hubitat? I know the app but also an online site where to control the car, I saw some github apps that countains api but not sure if its usable in hubitat!
I saw alexa skill also, but not availlable in canada... My goal is to be able to use my smart home (hubitat, alexa or homekit..) to control the car (start engine, unlock door, set temperature...)
For a more comprehensive integration, you should look at the Home Assistant KIA/Hyundai integration available via HACS. I use that one for my Ioniq 5 and bring control and status back to Hubitat via Home Assistant Device Bridge.
Yes, I saw this and it’s called hyunday & kia connect for home assistant, so maybe it would work but I don’t have home assistant hub and the app is useless without it…
Not sure to understand but how could I use it?
It’s only for Home Assistant. You can add home assistant to your mix to get the integration communicating with Hubitat. Many ways to do that and it doesn’t require a hub. Running it on a virtual machine is one of the easiest ways, and since you’re only looking for a cloud integration at this point, there’s zero need for an HA hub with radios.
Just a suggestion. How you get what you want is up to you.
This api from those car app, is it a kind of url with key like any other api call ? If so, I could find out the url structure and get my key so I could use webcore to trigger those calls ... I have found nothing on this but in the github code it should exist something there. I m no expert but I try to explore all options!
Thanks again!
Sorry. I haven't a clue about how the code works. If you reach out to @WindowWasher (the dev for the Hubitat code), perhaps they can offer suggestions to assist you further.
If someone could help turn this into driver / app it would be nice! I m no expert so... but here the github link with something to start from! I could test it if needed!
