This model doesn’t have the modular wireless modules - it’s wifi/Bluetooth only.
Personally I’d stay clear of wifi/Bluetooth based security equipment, they are not very secure technologies. Especially compared to zwave.

Yeh agreed. Which which is why I’ve held off on changing the security screen locks. Just haven’t found a suitable one. But I’m about to replace some screens thought I might install a smart one from the get go.
Thanks. I did get 3, and just installed one. It went in easy (no extra drilling) and is already synced up to my zigbee network. Love it. Very professional. Now to install the other 2!
Got them for about $104 via ebay and a 10% off special earlier this week.
Nice, that's a good deal.
I've found my Z-Wave network to be much more reliable than Zigbee for battery operated devices, so today I replaced both my Yale Zigbee modules with Yale Z-Wave modules - I'll report back if I notice a worthwhile difference.
Luckily, the new "Swap Apps Device" in settings, combined with the "Lock Code manager" app, makes this stupidly easy.
I found them for $65 each, which I thought was decent:
So it’s only day 2 but the difference in responsiveness is massive. I had to implement retry logic to make them reliable in Zigbee.
But now when the mode changes, they both lock/unlock on the first try.
With Zigbee one of them would lock/unlock and the other would respond on the 2nd or 3rd attempt and it was random as to which one would respond first.
IME This isn’t unique to Yale Zigbee modules, I have the same issues with my Zigbee Zen thermostats.
Imo z-wave is the superior wireless standard as it doesn’t need to compete for bandwidth in a congested 2.4ghz frequency band.
G’day chaps, just thought I’d update my mailbox experience for those interested.
I’ve been running a Samsung Zigbee contact sensor on the rear mailbox cover to alert me when I get small parcels.
It worked great in summer, but moisture kept getting in during winter and draining the battery. Unfortunately Zigbee couldn’t penetrate the aluminum hatch so mounting it internally didn’t work.
So a few days ago I bought a Dome zwave contact sensor and it works great inside my mailbox. Hopefully that’ll prevent the moisture issues I had on the Samsung sensor.
The range is roughly 45m line of sight and being 10m from the front of the house seems to be no issue even with all the brick etc in the way.
It takes a nice big ER14505 lithium battery so I’m hoping battery life is good too.
They are claiming 10 year battery life! That is outstanding if true.
Not kidding, I guess we’ll see!
The price is pretty good too. I've picked up a few to try out.
Hi All
OZ Smart Things online shop just announced the release of these zigbee switch and dimmer units.
If somebody is trying them it will be great to let us know how they are working.
They don't look any different to the ones on ali-express, except these are triple the price
I have a couple from Ali and no issues with them in my mesh. Suspect these will be the same!
They will most likely work just fine using the generic HE Zigbee drivers.
Personally I’m glad I went with zwave for my in wall switches. 2.4ghz is just too heavily saturated these days.
Hi All,
Thank you
So I've got a few of these installed and they seem to be working ok. 4 of them paired with S0 security and 1 paired with no security. Any idea how to pair all of them with no security? The manual isn't much help and Dome aren't replying to emails.
Iirc, it’s usually related to how many button presses to put it in inclusion mode. Tbh I don’t thing the security options are worth being concerned about.
Hey all,
Unsure if this is allowed but also unsure of where else to post!
I have 2x HE C-7 hubs I'd love to find a good home.
One is unopened, the other is opened and has been plugged in but never actually used.
Purchased to try and automate some things for my grandparents & elderly parents in law to make their life easier, but both actually decided to go into care before I could implement anything.
I just found them again while tidying my office. Very happy to sell cheap to someone who will love them, I just hate for them to go to landfill.
How much are you after for them? I might be interested in 1 of them.
which state are you in? Same question as @dJOS. You could PM us directly if not wanting to post on the thread.
I'm in Adelaide, Belair if locals are following. Happy to post though.
And $90aud for the boxed unit, $80aud for the unboxed one (+/- postage if u need) would be an easy sell for me
Cheers, I’ll pass for now.
