HSM & Keypad Issues

Nope, voice alert didn't work either.

Just last few questions, just to be sure, after you enabled away mode, did you wait the delay (I think you setup 55secs) and then you opened a door? I see you only have text and speak for alerts, did you setup a siren or any light to turn on when an intrusion is detected? If not, try it. Maybe for some reason your text and voice is not working. I was complaining with HSM a lot, but honestly this guys fixed everything and my setup works, but I don't have voice or text, I have Pushover, lights, and a relay to trigger a monitored alarm. I have a RPi with voice for HE but I never tested HSM with voice, I can't do it now.

If still not working I suggest to send an email to support@hubitat.com.

Yup, I waited for the delay and then opened the door. I don't have any lights/siren to test with.
I did setup a rule on RuleMachine to make my voice talk when the mode changes and that works so I don't think that's the issue.

Thanks again for the assistance. Currently working with @bravenel so he can VPN into my network and check on the hub.

Got it working! Keypad and SMS alerts (I was missing the +). Thanks everyone!

The only thing left is the Nest Intergration - so I can turn on/off my NestCam

Sounds like we have some devices in common.
I'm also using the Iris Keypad to arm/disarm but I've got Wyzecams in place of your Nestcams.
I use the IFTTT integration with a Virtual Device (I called it Virtual Wyzecam just to be obvious) to allow a Rule to run which ensures the Cameras are on when the house is Armed in AWAY Mode and they're off when the house is put into Home mode.
It's working great.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem possible to control NestCam with IFTTT. Does Hubitat support stringify?

@kamransiddiqi1998, I don't believe Stringify is supported.
IFTTT and Stringify are certainly useful tools but they also go against the "running local" ethic of Hubitat so I'm trying to stay away from using them too much.
Depending on your needs you could always use a power outlet / smart plug to power on or off the Nestcam.

@kamransiddiqi1998 there's a larger post on Nest Integration here:

@kamransiddiqi1998, so I had a quick look into Stringify and there’s a good chance that you’d be able to take an IFTTT trigger and put it into a Stringify Flow to connect with your Nest Camera.
There just doesn’t seem to be much control over the Nest Camera. No On / Off for example.

I have my Wyze Pan Cams turn their backs towards us when anyone’s at home and power down. It’s been a well received practice as it avoids the “creepy camera” comments like “how do I know that it isn’t still watching me”

How did you manage to put an IFTTT trigger into Stringify? Can I set my Nest to Home/Away?
And then I can just program the Nest via the Nest App to turn on and off when Away/Home.

Thanks

In order to have my keypad change modes - @bravenel suggested that I can have RuleMachine perform mode changes when HSM status changes. Since my keypad can arm/disarm in HSM.

Basically I want this to be performed in both ways:

HSM: Disarmed <-> Mode: Home
HSM: Armed Away <-> Mode: Away
HSM: Armed Stay <-> Mode: Night

However, this doesn't seem to work as expected. For instance, if I am in home mode and run night mode - this is what happens, basically night mode bounces back and forward between home mode and ultimately lands back on Night Mode.

I attached my config in RuleMachine. Any tips on how I can prevent it from bouncing back and forward between different modes? I know WebCore had the changes to feature but I don't see that in RuleMachine so maybe there is a different way?

Thanks!

I believe this is the problem. If I change the HSM status (i.e on the keypad) -> it will update the mode correctly. However, if I change the mode - there is a very small delay between the mode change & the HSM status change that makes the rule machine trigger run. I need somehow delay this? Any options (i.e reevaluate after a short delay)?

re; the IFTTT trigger to Stringify I went to "My Applets" in the IFTTT app.
Pressed "+" to make a new
Pressed the "this" and selected Button Widget
Clicked that through, then pressed "that"and searched for "stringify"
and there ended my experience as I've not done anything with Stringify.

I'm certainly no expert but regarding your RM "Defined Rules" shouldn't they be;
HSM Status is Disarmed
AND
Mode is Home
rather than
NOT Mode is HOME ??

But now I'm questioning how the same Mode can be part of the condition as well as being what you're trying to set.
@bravenel, can you shed a little light on this ??

This is how I see it-> If HSM is disarmed and it's already in Home mode. It doesn't need to run home mode again.

However if HSM isn't in home mode and it gets disarmed, then enable home mode.

Doesn't seem to be possible to turn on/off NestCam (as you mentioned) or change Nest to Away. Guess I'll have to wait for Nest/Hubitat or use ST till then.

After the V2.0 update - it seems that I am unable to stop intrusion alerts. Previously changing the mode to Home would disarm the intrusion.
But now I had to reboot the hub to make it stop.

Have you gone into HSM and hit Done, by any chance? That would be a good thing to do. Also, you can just open the app to cancel alerts with the button in the app ui, no need to reboot.

Just hit done.

Yup, I tried the cancel alerts and even disarm monitoring. But it didn't make the alerts stop (text & audio).

Does disarming HSM stop the alerts? Previously changing the mode to Home did the job - and I prefer this as other users at home don't know how to go into the UI to cancel alerts.

I will PM some additional info.

Thanks

Yes.

I understand, and modes should work. Nothing about that was changed with 2.0 release, so need some info to get to the bottom of what's going on, or not going on.
