Govee Integration V2

OK testing again. on the C7

Got some logs on another failure (stuck at downloading integration file for a while then failed):

Just for fun I installed your V1 integration on the same hub and that installed fine.

I'm on a C8-Pro where it fails. Don't think it's hub related.

Honestly based on what @danabw posted (I think this is a issue with Github not HPM or anything on the hub at all. The question is why some folks see it and some don't... I just installed this again on my extra hub a C7.

I did just find some empty lines in the Package manifest. I have removed them just in case.

I think it's a github problem. I was seeing errors about servers not available and then errors about not being able to access the latest, etc. This was just surfing GitHub, not using HPM.

I think you're right.

On the bright side, I tested starting my light show this morning and all for devices started normally and ended normally. Using a virtual switch to control the side effects app starting the show.

Just got an HPM update to complete successfully.

I also just had a successful install on my C8 of the V2 integration with every driver included. So it looks like things are back to normal. :+1:

Afraid still no joy.....

There's Govee library folders.....

Drive over to @wiegout's house and do the update there?

Seriously, maybe reboot hub and/or router and try again? (Tinfoil hat optional.)

Another option you can try is to download the single bundle file i linked above. That has been working fine for me and that bundle file is everything. It may take over 10 min to install though so be patient.

You will still want to get HPM working eventually as it will help you know if updates are released.

I did another install of the integration (w/all drivers) to my C7 as well, went w/out issue. Probably that whatver issues GitHub is working on are still present in some regions. :man_shrugging: Hopefull things will get sorted for you soon.

Last night's show started and stopped w/out drama - zero issues! Victory. (Still on current HPM version.)

@mavrrick58 I have a switch programed to a device and wanted to adjust the dimmer by 5% every half second whilst being hell. However I just get this in the logs any idea how to do it better?

It's adjust + or - 5% on a repeat with a max of 20 but stoppable.

That will not end well. It may work for a few intervals but it wouldn't be sustainable for more then a couple of seconds.

Generally i have found for repetitive actions you need about 2 seconds betweeen commands. Running at 500ms you will see a backlog pretty quickly.

Good to hear.

Helps to confirm what version of the Govee Integration app. Which are you using - the version from HPM (no retry logic) or the version from the separate Bundle download (which includes the updated retry logic)?

My net lights are working as well, I'm on the current HPM version.

I just wanted to let everyone know the same fixes that have been applied to the current release build in HPM are also in the bundle download that has the retry logic. The only difference is the retry logic.
