Zigbee.
Perfect, thanks. I’ll order one.
Thank you all for your help. It is much appreciated.
FYI I purchased one of these today, took 4 attempts to pair and no device type auto selected.
Setting device type to Frient Motion Pro didn’t fix, even though I pressed config and pressed pairing button once on the device.
I fixed by changing the device to a non motion sensor I.e bulb and then back to Frient
Then config and pressed pair button on the device, then all device details appeared and have stayed working so far.
Would be nice for development team to add Frient into onboarding process for brands and by device type, all missing for me.
Not the easiest device to pair and to be honest a little large but is approx £26 in UK
Thanks for your experience. I’ve tried what you said, but mine reacts differently to yours.
I think the main problem I’m having is that getting readings from the unit is very hit and miss. Most of the time pressing configure produces no results at all and sometimes some of them.
Unfortunately the illuminence is the worse and that’s the one I’m most interested in. The motion appears to be the most reliable.
I'm wondering if you just got a bum unit
Maybe so.
The hue motion sensor arrive this afternoon. Pairing worked okay, but did run out of time before fully initialising. Clicked to pair again and finished successfully.
The good bit. It just worked straight off. Will add to automations tomorrow and don’t expect any problems.
One thing that is a bit disappointing is the lack of mounting options.
Time to get the 3D printer out.
Interesting.
Are the status figures there when you open the device page without having to hit the configure button?
Well, that’s weird. I only have one Frient motion sensor pro device installed and yet there are four show up in the logs.
What’s that about?
Had to pair twice to get it working, hit configure, wait a bit, then all attributes became visible.
Did you remove the device before pairing it again?
Normaly on e re-pair, you leve the device in Hubitat alone and on the re-pair it finds the old device-id again.
Mine doesn’t do that reliably.
Yes I did, but I wonder if it adds another one when the pair times out and I’ve hit it again?
I wonder if that is what the problem is.
I’ve deleted the device, but if I go into another device and then select logs, four of the Frient devices still show.
How do I get rid of them?
Logs for deleted devices will eventually fall off as the log fills.
Okay, thanks.
I’ve learnt so many new things with this problem.
Having all these same problems with Frient Motion Sensor Pro from Vesternet. Unless anyone knows someone with this device working well on Hubitat I have to suspect a driver problem
is it a Model MOSZB-140?
What hub model and what platform version are you on?
Thanks Mike, that is the model of the sensor. My hub is a C7 running 2.3.5.118. I first tried under 2.3.5.116, before removing and resetting the sensor and updating the hub platform.
I'll test this on a C8 today
Still no joy under .124
