When you contact Hubitat, there's a page somewhere, does anyone ever answers to that?
As the title says it this is a migration problem, is there help included as a courtesy for a migration that didn't work. Is there paid support, how to get that?
At this point I just want to establish if
- I should keep the new hub and go ahead fight a bit to have it set up properly and what 's the best route to get help
- Or just cut the loses, return it, lose shipping, customs but avoid losing hair, time which eventually could be more costly
Anyway for who's interested in details what happened is almost identical with this guy's thread Devices "migrated" but none work: C5 to C8-Pro.
If I start the old C5 hub everything works like a charm.
If, for troubleshooting reasons, I reset devices to factory, and I tried that with a ZigBee Sercomm outlet and a Zwave Neo CoolCam Motion Sensor, the C8 Pro is unable to sense any of them when I try to add. When I try the same with the C5, there are no problems, it immediately senses and adds them, like a well oiled machine.
I'd appreciate your suggestions, I'm not in a big rush to make a decision (only by the 30 day return limit), but I must say as much enthusiasm I had for this product in the last 5 years, I'm starting to be pretty disappointed.
Maybe I am naive but I expected after all this time to have a much more positive and straightforward experience.
Cheers
I will return with the platform version (I returned for the time being to C5 so I need to power up the C8 Pro back up to get that piece of info. It's anyway a hub bought last week, NA version not US if that helps interim)
2.3.9.160 was the version during migration, in the meantime I brought it up to the latest currently which is 2.3.9.163
Please provide your hub model (C7, C8, etc.) and its platform version from Settings>Hub Details.
