Device add, Hue motion sensor fails, C8 Pro, 2.3.9.193

Hey all, looking for some guidance here. I am trying to add a Hue indoor motion sensor, model 9290012607 and it's failing to add on my C8 Pro.

I have an older C5, where it was running previously (today) and I can add it back fine there. As a test I also added it to my Hue hub, and that worked as well. So I know it works, just not with my C8 Pro, which is a huge bummer.

I searched and found this topic:

And I tried resetting the Zigbee radio mutiple times, rebooting, shutting down and waiting, and none of those things worked.

So I'm wondering what else to try.

Or if there is a bug or incompatibility I'm not aware of.

I'm stumped...any thoughts from the group would be really appreciated right now.

What channel is your Zigbee radio set to? Try changing to something else, save then reboot and see if that makes a difference. Also, do you see any errors in logs when attempting to pair?

Channel 20.

I did try another channel based on your suggestion, channel 24. It does find the device, but fails to finalize the initiation and the pairing times out. That only happens maybe every other time I try to pair, and every other attempt it fails.

Zigbee and Hub logs don't really give me any meaningful information on the failure. Is there a debug mode I'm missing?

And just a note, I am defaulting the Hue sensor every time I try to pair, holding in the rest button for 10 sec it will reset and the yellow light will flash while trying to pair.

So far, it's still failing, any other thoughts or things to try?

You can try this workaround, it works 100% for me and worked for many others.
