My issues go way beyond just a device not pairing.
Sengled bulbs are still an issue. Sensors that worked on C3 and C5 don't work.
All as I wrote before made worse by no communication.
The forum is full of posts made by those dealing with these issues.
Doing things like moving a device closer to the hub to see if it might possibly pair is shooting in the dark which is also what my wife experiences when she walks in a room and those sengled bulbs don't come on. It's a coin toss at this point if it's the bulb or the sensor that's misbehaving.
I've had the C8 now for a month and that for me under these circumstances is where my patience starts to run out.
Any word from the developers on when we might see a fix to keep some sengled bulbs from dropping off the zigbee network when using a C8? I am also still having issues with contact sensors as well.
I'm very new to Hubitat and have a C8. I have a few (non-Zigbee) devices connected and all good with them. However I have tried to directly pair a Hue Dimmer Switch (V1) and also a Ikea Tradfri Plug using the Devices -> Add devices -> Find By Brand route and they will not pair. I have reset both the Hue & Tradfri items and nothing happens during the pairing cycle.
Is there any way I can check to see if the Zigbee element of my C8 is actually working?
I'm observing strange behavior with Zigbee on the C-8; I may not have accurately nailed down all the details, but I'll outline them here in case anyone can corroborate.
TL;DR: What I appear to be seeing:
shortID's shown in the hub's child table don't match those shown in the Zigbee details page. They never change, even when a shortID of the child does change on rejoin;
child table devices show NULL instead of name, and "type:UNKNOWN"
The C-8 should be assigning randomized shortID's on devicโฆ
Can anyone tell me what the Zigbee network rebuild does, in C8... I've used it to try and resolve an an ongoing issue i have with Zigbee devices simply not responding (sporadically) but i cant say that it helps.
thx
I purchased a new C8 hub for my daughter at her new home. I am an experienced Hubitat owner and user with many zigbee and zwave devices. I am now attempting to pair several zigbee devices; ThirdReality motion sensor, ThirdReality water leak sensor, and cmars smart plug. In each case, it says "found a zigbee device", but it doesn't complete initialization. I have rebooted the hub, reset the zigbee radio, and reset the devices. What am I missing?
P.S.: I have succeeded in pairing one zwave โฆ
I noticed that my hub's zigbee radio recycled frequently over the course of the day... I assume this is not normal but trying to understand what triggers a radio to recycle.... could it be a throughput issue ? I have my automations driven my Webcore.. could I be overloading the zigbee network (sounds ludicrous, but i simply dont know) ?
See below , I recycle by HE every night using the Rebooter app, just to keep things clean... then see the Zigbee radio recycles..

Before I push the update button is the new C8 working with .121. I am not willing to go down another rabbit hole, I have reservations on making things worse that it has been.
I have had things stabilize after i moved the devices that were dropping to the C7 and used it as a mesh hub.
