Zooz Zen34 and Aeotec Nano Dimmer

I have a home of which the original owner had used a LiteTouch System, now defunct, to control the lighting.

Subsequently I have many Aeotec Nano switches and dimmers and am now using 10 Zooz Zen34s. I am using the Room Lighting app to program this where a Zen34 could control multiple Aeotec switches and dimmers.

Any way holding on the up paddle could cause the dimmers to brighten and the down paddle to cause them to dim?

Thanks

I'm just a newbie at this so take what I say with a grain of salt.

I thought I'd see how I can dim one of my GE/Jasco dimmers with a Zen34 I have. I found that Simple Automation, which is what I'm familiar with, only lets you turn on the dimmer to a set value.

Now, I don't know if one of the other Apps like Rule Machine or Lighting, or even a community developed app might give you the option to stop dimming, but SA doesn't seem to.

The advanced driver for the Zen34 lets you do associations, if you know what they are. So, I associated the two in Group 3, which is dimming. It worked great except I couldn't dim all the way to off.

So, I associated them in Group 2. This lets me push the lower paddle once to turn it off completely. Pushing the upper paddle once turns on the dimmer to the last value. This might be only for my GE/Jasco dimmers...I don't know.

The thing about associations, is that if you change things up, you have to remember to go back to that device page and remove them. Something about excess traffic.

Another thing about associations, is that the hub could dry up and blow away, and they'd still work. Of course, you'd need a hub, I guess, to remove or modify them.

I think the number of devices that you can associate vary. The advanced driver for the Zen34 claims 10, but I find that hard to believe. Anyway, you could associated several, anyway, dimmers with the Zen34.

Maybe you could poke around some of those apps I talked about. Maybe I will.

That's all I got.

Edit: I just turned off my hub to see if it would still work, and it does.
