May I ask how you got the Zen34 to do dimming?
I thought that it only has a up/down control?

As a correction to below, I found out that if power if cut off to hub associations go very slow, as discussed above.

I'm just a newbie at this so take what I say with a grain of salt. I thought I'd see how I can dim one of my GE/Jasco dimmers with a Zen34 I have. I found that Simple Automation, which is what I'm familiar with, only lets you turn on the dimmer to a set value. Now, I don't know if one of the other Apps like Rule Machine or Lighting, or even a community developed app might give you the option to stop dimming, but SA doesn't seem to.
