If you believe that this particular unit is not behaving correctly and misreading power, we can definitely take a closer look at it. Have you already contacted our support about possible warranty service?
I don't think the problem is a particular unit. I've repro'ed the problem using two different ones. The issue seems to be specific to the dishwasher use case, which is a fairly light duty scenario.
I have not. All of my ZEN15s were purchased 2019-2022, so I wouldn't have the expectation of warranty service. Nevertheless, I will be happy to open a case with support if there might be some interest in pursuing the behavior in my particular use case. Let me know.
I'm sure we can agree that the ZEN15 (and maybe all power monitoring plugs) have manifested nonsensical readings occasionally. I have another right now claiming it saw 1200 amps. There is a thread somewhere in this community that cites a reading of something like 300,000 amps. If I understand correctly, there have been firmware changes over the years to fix most of that.
But maybe not completely. Also, I've noted before power measurements that weren't possible. In the example below (ZEN15 rev 2, non-LR with 1.06) that it reports 1223 amps (powerH/120 V) as the high reading, yet currentH of less than 8 amps. The arithmetic just doesn't work out.
I would say that if the unit consistently reports the high value at the same time of the cycle, there is something in the appliance that triggers it (vs it being a display issue like in the other cases of improbably high readings that are most likely just calculation glitches on the software side, they are primarily present on groovy based platforms in our experience).
