Zooz Valve ZAC36 Titan Inverted State

I just installed a brand new Zooz Titan ZAC36 water valve. It works great except the open/close state is inverted. It reports "open" when the valve is in-fact closed (no water flow) and reports "closed" when the valve is open (water flowing). If I switch it to a generic Z-Wave valve, the status are correct, but I lose the integrated water sensor status as well as some of the automatic preferences like cycling the valve on a schedule, etc.

My hub is completely up to date. Is this a driver issue or can I config this somehow?

Parameter 17.
Maybe there's another driver out there.

Yes, you can temporarily switch to the Basic Z-Wave Tool to change any parameter. Alternatively, you can also use these instructions from Zooz to change the setting on the device:

Reverse open / close commands and reports:

  • Use this method if your hub displays the open/close commands in reverse to the actual operation and doesn't give you access to change the advanced settings in the interface (if you have access to advanced settings, follow the guidelines for parameter 17 instead)
  • Hold the Z-Wave button until 4 beeps sound, release the button, then immediately after, tap the button 3 times (it will flash green and beep once each time you touch it)
  • Flashing green and 2 beeps to indicate successful setting change
  • Back to standby mode (yellow flashing when not included to Z-Wave hub or pulsing green when included to Z-Wave hub)

That being said, this parameter will also be available in the driver in the next major platform release, 2.4.1 (no timeline for that at the moment).

Thank you both! I am using @jtp10181 's user script for the time being due to how many parameters it has. It's working great. Cheers!

Edit: a weird thing happens with this driver (for me) and my HomeKit integration. On the stock Zooz driver or the basic z-wave valve, I at least get open/closed ability to HomeKit. With this new user driver, in a roundabout way I can navigate to the default room and I can see the water sensor and battery level (in HomeKit) but no actual valve status of control. It doesn't show on my dashboard. Is this expected?

In the HomeKit integration turn on the advanced setting at the bottom. Then under each device you can adjust which states are shared. You might need to disable the switch state so it doesnโ€™t get confused. Or you might need to turn on the valve state so it shares it.

That was it. Thanks!
