Zooz 4-in-1 Sensor

I had the same problem with the motion sensor not appearing with the Zooz 4-in-1 sensor and solved the problem by rebooting the hub.

The illuminance levels reported by the stock HE Zooz driver maxes out for me at 53 (middle of a bright sunny day, positioned right under a skylight). Is this a correct value? My log shows some compressed lux value reporting. I set the reporting interval to the smallest available. Can anyone help me get better lux values from this senser?

Here is the data capture:

Yes, the lux sensor of this device reports 50ish as it's max, this is a hardware limitation not HE or driver related.

This device reports light level from 0 to 100 percent, we mapped that into lux, since 0 to 100 makes no sense in any part of this earth...
If you're actually interested in a ledgimitate value, you'll need a different sensor.

Thanks for the response. What's the units of lux you mapped to? Is there a logarithmic conversion that's being done in the code?

I believe the driver code interpolates the 0 to 100% value the sensor reports to a "lux" value of 0 to 50 (ish) which is what the 0 to 100 percent is equivalent to.

The sensor can only measure up to 50 (ish) lux in it's firmware

Thanks very much for that info! I didnt register the max lux being firmware limited...I wonder why.

I used to use the SmartThings Weather Station which was my go to for LUX values. Even now after sunset, the weather station reports 10lux (for a partially moon-lit night).

Does anyone have any recommendations for another sensor that may be more suitable? I do need humidity and luminance. The monoprice Product # 15902
appears to be a white label Zoon.

I've used both the dome dmms-1, fibaro multi sensor, and the aeotec multi-sensor. They all report lux up to the mid 30k range.

Personally, there can be only one reason for this.
Which is having no concept of the potential use cases.

My guess would be an day/night scenario but 50lux is still pretty low for that

Has anyone figured out how to change the wakeup internval? Per a Zooz support page it is customizable.

"While your 4-in-1 Sensor's wake-up interval is set to 12 hours by default to save on battery, you can adjust this interval to better suit your needs or force wake-up when necessary."
