None of my Zigbee devices are responding. It's the third time this has happened in the past month. I have a grand total of four Zigbee bulbs.
I first become aware of it when asking Alexa to turn on a Zigbee bulb; she responds, "Sorry, device is not responding." Asking her to turn it off, however, results in, "OK."
The Zigbee devices are also unresponsive in Hubitat; no response at all, not even log entries, when clicking ON, OFF, or REFRESH on the device page. Configure spits out only one, "configure...," message for the device, nothing else.
Past logs show where I turned off a Zigbee bulb hours earlier; nothing seen Zigbee-wise since.
Zigbee Status show Enabled. Zigbee Network State: ONLINE
When I tried Disabling Zigbee Status, the page just spins after I click update ... continued through the entire duration of composing this message. Other pages are still responsive.
Not a lot else going on in my hub; 43 devices total (counting groups); 13 Lutron Dimmer/Picos ... 8 Zwave.
Apps installed: Alexa TTS, Amazon Echo Skill, Groups and Scenes (six groups), Hubitat Dashboard (one dashboard), Maker API, Notifications, Rule Machine 2.5
Reading Zigbee is the first to go when the hub gets overloaded, and since I never fully fleshed them out, I just removed Alexa TTS, Maker API, and Rule Machine, but I don't really think I've been taxing my hub.
In the past, either restarting the hub or power cycling it (I honestly don't remember which I did, probably both) restored Zigbee. This time, neither action is restoring Zigbee. Did my Zigbee radio die?
Ooops. It remembered I had tried disabling Zigbee this time, so that's why a reset and power cycle wasn't helping this go round. I haven't taken that step before today.
Is my Zigbee radio dying? Awful timing for this as I just ordered a lot of Iris contact switches and motion sensors (which haven't arrived). Anything else to look for next time it happens?
I'm currently running 2.1.3.128. It did it once when I was running 2.1.2.123.
