If you continue to have range issues and want to add more reliable repeaters, these two are well loved by members here. Both require a USB wall wart to power them:
Tuya: Tiny but mighty. 
SonOff USB Dongle: Requires more work as you have to follow the info here to flash a new firmware on it, but the range and repeating capabilities of these is great. You can also change the antenna to a larger antenna if desired. They are obviously ugly so you need to find a spot where you don't have to look at them every day.
