Today the names given to devices in SmartStart are not used by the hub:
This makes adding devices repetitive, and negates one of the primary efficiencies of SmartStart. When adding serval devices of the same type (by scanning in product cards for example), it may mean that the user has to sort through them and add labels to them one by one.
It would be much easier if the names were copied into the device labels as they are included.
Yes, whilst true, the best success in building either a zigbee or zwave network is doing it one device at a time, verifying operation, then next device ect.
Scanning a ton of devices into smartstart in one shot wouldn't be recommended best practice at this time, and it may never be.
