Unable to (re)pair Zooz water valve ZAC36 on my C7

Device was successfully working on my C7 but stopped working about a month ago. It fell off my network and I’m trying to get it back. It’s like 3 feet from my hub.

I created a virtual valve and did swap devices with original valve to this. I then successfully excluded it but when adding it back I get the “Found zwave device… initializing…” then inclusion stops after the countdown and there are no more screens for setting the device up as their should be.

Zwave shows this lonely device:

I was on 2.4.1.177 and was unsuccessful, so I went back to 2.4.1.167; no dice. Also tried z-wave repair, several reboots. Nada.

Any ideas? I don’t do much with Hubitat anymore as things just sort of work, so I’ve not done much other than upgrade firmware; which I guess I should stop doing. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I miss the old UI

How about hitting Discover and then Remove, when and if it pops up?
Then, maybe reset the device to factory default and try including again.
Makes you wonder why it just stopped working.
I don't have the battery back up version, I wonder if that could be a factor?
Oh, I have an idea: how about a failing power supply (wall wart)?

What do you mean Discover then remove? I can get it excluded even after the “failed/partial” re-add

Mine doesn’t have battery backup either. I’ll check voltage on the wall wart.

Well, I did a few more exclusions (hitting the zwave button 3 times quickly on the unit). I then unplugged it and plugged it back in. Then + device, enable zwave inclusion, hit the button on the unit again 3 times quickly, and it showed up. It also auto-selected this community driver that I installed yesterday. I don't think adding the community driver resolved the issue, but if someone else sees this, perhaps give this a shot.

Still makes you wonder why it stopped working all of a sudden.
I'm still liking the wall wart as the offender.
edit: I'm using the system driver.

Did you ever do a full shut down and unplug the hub for 30 seconds? Its the only way to fully reboot the zwave radio.

If that you did that in your recent attempts then that may be what did the trick. Also power cycling the device may have helped as well.

Having the custom driver installed would not make a difference, it does not come into play until after the device is already paired.

I did not power down the hub, just the device. I’ll try and remember that for next time.
