I have my home setup with a C7 and in a month it will go to a new owner.
I have a remote admin subscription.
The new owner only needs local use, no subscription, and I will setup my new place with a different Habitat device.
If I deregister the current hub, it logically should become private and not associated with my ID and subscription.
However, does it mean when I use my id to register the replacement hubitat, will the subscription follow it (aka my ID/account) or the device?
I think it SHOULD stay with the account, but it is unclear.
I believe you will need to register the new hub first, then transfer the subscription to the new hub. Otherwise you wont be able to deregister the old one without messing up the subscription. For remote admin even though it applies to all hubs I think it needs to be attached to a hub the way they have the subscriptions setup.
Thanks. I dug out the replacement Hub (in the midst of packing) and have registered it, and am taking a few moments to load up HPM and a few drivers I know I'll need. Remembering how to turn on "developer" took a few minutes as I do it so rarely, but finally got it.
