Thirdreality Smart Button Remote configuration

Hello everyone,

I purchased this today and it paired just fine, but I can only get the "push" button feature to work. Double tap and hold don't seem to do anything even though it shows up in the device log.

Is there a way to configure this? I searched around but didn't find anything similar.

Thanks.

Give this a try ...

Hello,

I assume after I download that, I switch the type to the Tuya package?

It still shows that it's just one button.

Thanks.

Download and install as driver ..
Then pick the new driver for your device.
Make sure you press the configure button.

Important : Due to the Tuya specific initialization that these devices require, these scene switches must be obligatory re-paired to HE hub in order to work properly.

Hello,

I've done all that and clicking configure doesn't seem to do anything.

Thanks for your help.

The Tuya TS004F driver does not have a specific code to support Third Reality button...

But there is a inbuilt Hubitat driver - it shoild be working?

There is also a custom driver published by ThirdReality.

Hi,

The inbuilt driver only lets me do a 1 click setup; holding it down or double tap does nothing.

I tried the custom and Tuya, but they aren't working.

Thanks.

Can you post the TR button model/manufacturer details, as seen at the bottom of the device page on Hubitat?

Thanks; I've been pairing it in the flashing blue mode.

So the HE inbuilt driver should be working then...
Hopefully someone else who actually has the same TR button will chime in and help with more ideas.

I have 2 of these installed currently. Working fine with push, double tap and hold using hubitat's system driver "Third Reality Smart Button".

I notice your application is 1C and mine is 17. I have no idea what that difference means.

Hi. How did you configure the different button options?

Thanks.

Utilize the physical button and the proper events are generated and you can use any aspect of Hubitat (Button controller, rule machine, etc) to act on those events.

I get pushed, held (followed by released when let go) and doubleTapped events.

Thanks. Under current state, does yours say numberofbuttons 1?

Current States

  • battery : 90
