I have ThirdReality power plugs in a few places in my home, mainly for repeater. Randomly checked logs and noticed this:

Is this a problem? I don't quite understand why they're reporting as frequently as they are. Any way to change this?
The firmware on one of them (10013001) seems out of date, not sure about the others as it's not indicated - newer firmware has been anecdotally "quieter" (expectations vary). I usually have description text logging off on those so I don't notice anymore.
You could try updating one plug to see if it improves the situation for you. To do this, hit the Update Firmware button on the device page. You can track progress on the logs page, under "Hub" (sys:1). Be warned it will cycle power to the load when doing so.
Have you tried running a "Configure" (or even a reset and re-pair without deleting it from the hub first) to see if that helps? I can't speak to the firmware update suggested above, but that might change things, too.
It's a bit chatty, but one or two messages every minute or two isn't exactly going to bog down your mesh (but it's still something I'd try to get rid of if I can).
I updated the firmware (successfully) on one of the plugs, but seems it did not affect the reporting frequency at all. Then I noticed the office plug had descriptivetext logging off, so I guess that's why it wasn't showing up! ha
So, yeah... they're all reporting 2-5 minutes. Is that just... what they're gonna do? I don't understand why the device would keep sending the same state
On the latest firmware, the behaviour I get on this model is two or three updates within a minute of a state change, then an update every hour. If this is not what you are seeing, then the Configure and/or reset and re-pair idea mentioned above is worth trying.
The only other brand of Zigbee plug I own is Sonoff S31 Lite, and that model reports its state every 5 minutes no matter what. It is of no consequence AFAIK, and IMO there is no need to have description text logging on for these plugs unless you're debugging something.
Looking on the bright side, if your hub is on a UPS, you can use their over-reporting to detect power outages within 3 minutes !
Seems I was overzealous and the over-reporting has indeed stopped!
Thanks!
Ps does Hubitat have some way to notify you that a device has a new firmware? Even with these plugs I just blindly clicked update firmware had no idea one was actually available?
Unfortunately no - I think they've sometimes mentioned it in release notes, but it's usually just catching wind of it here in the community or checking yourself once in a while.
