Thermostat scheduler not changing setpoint on schedule

I’m now on 2.3.4.117

Through trial and error I’ve discovered that thermostat scheduler fails to set schedules when a variable is used as the temperature. For example, with variables (and after hitting done)

If I remove the variable temperatures and hit done:
