HI,
I just open one of my piston to make somes little changes and notice that some expression where I use $variable were in red and unresolved, so I notice that the system variables are not even listed like it no longer exist.
In my other pistons its still ok, so I need your help on that one! Why only this piston wont connect to the system variables?
Up to date and still no system variable in this particular piston.
Looks like a bad link from the piston itself… those variable used inside are working great but are in red in the expression like the link is lost with the system variable…
I also tried to create a duplicate piston which works before to save it. Before to save I was able to access system variable but as soon as I save, I first get an error message (sorry but an error occur while saving) or something like that and then the piston is there but no access to system variable anymore.
Is this issue have a chance to be solved ? I just made another piston and it looks like that over around 50 compilation steps (the number shown when saving piston) those variable are gone... The bug looks to come from the app itself. I use the built in webcore app... Am I the only with this issue?
do you know in which comment it was? it have like 2500 comment and I cananot find something about system variable... I saw local variable but not system variable ($time, $hour, $date... etc) and did they found a solution? Sorry about this but maybe I m not accoustume at finding topic, it should have a way to do it efficiently!
I think its still there because I juste updated hubitat and still have the problem...not sure on how it got there because I had pretty large piston that was ok if I remember correctly... Hope they find the issue, system variable are a great part of programing...
thanks for your reply!
I am the person from the other thread. After updating to the Aug 8th release my problem with local variables cleared up. As far as I can tell it didn't effect global or system variables.
