Sonoff “Zigbee Smart Scene Button” not working

I just bought the Sonoff “Zigbee smart scene button” (official device name) model: SNZB-01M which is a four button device. I cannot add this device with any device type that reveals more than one button by default and even using the custom driver I found here, it’s still not functioning.

Sonoff is a Hubitat supported brand, I feel like this device should work with my habitat C8 pro but I can’t figure it out. Anyone have any experience with this?

Different version of the button, but try this process:

Note: once the button pairs and then re-pairs, change the driver to "DEVICE" and on the Commands tab, clear all things that can be cleared, then change the driver to your preferred driver.

Re-pairs? How do you pair it again? Do you need to remove it and re-pair it? I’ve done that several times as well as the rest of this description. But if there’s a way to pair it again while it’s still paired from the initial pairing, I have no idea what that is.

I’m also unfamiliar with any “clear” command. I’ve never seen that.

"Re-pair" means add device and pair, but do NOT remove the device first. Some Tuya-based devices appear to pair correctly the first time, but do not fully pair, hence the need to re-pair. Also, before you try to pair again, you might try setting your driver to "DEVICE", clearing all clearable items on the Commands tab, then selecting your preferred driver AND clicking on "Configure" on the Commands tab. Note also that many battery operated devices are "sleepy" and don't respond to Commands until the wake up or are woken up, such as by a button being pressed (or breathing on the air vent of a humidity device or warming a temperature device a coupled of degrees).

But my Hubitat won’t find the device when I go to pair a new device if it’s already paired without removing it first. Do i do a hard reset on the device without removing it from habitat and then pair it again to “re-pair”?

Follow the Modified Double Luck Voodoo process EXACTLY, including removing the battery and being physically close to the hub.

Change the driver to DEVICE and refresh your browser. The Commands tab will display 4 "Delete All x" commands. Click all of them, then change your driver back to your preferred driver.

My apologies I didn’t see your linked post with the whole process the first time I responded, just the note. I’ll try that now, but just to clarify this process starts after the initial pairing has been completed or from a completely clean start without the device being paired at all?

The driver linked below seems to be working for @johnwill1 with his Sonoff Orb Button SNZB-01M.

Thank you! I’ll try this now.

I followed your process exactly without issue and it resulted in a message during the add new device process stating it had found and reconnected one device. Is this the correct outcome for your re-pairing process?

The device is working now after adding the custom driver posted by @Ranchitat, but thank you so much for your replies and your help. I am sure this information will be very helpful for me in the future.

It works! Thank you so much I searched there community forums for this device and never saw that post. I really appreciate it.

The driver has been working great for me. I think I need to tweak it a bit as the battery reporting isn’t quite right. I notice it reports its battery percentage level every 29 minutes; that percentage I believe is derived from the voltage, but the voltage also gets reported occasionally too.

Yes, exactly the correct outcome for a re-pairing process.
