Somfy Sonnesse Ultra 30 Wirefree Li-Ion Zigbee Shades

Hi, I just wanted to make this post incase anybody else runs into the same issue as I did.

I managed to successfully pair Somfy zigbee shades with a C8-Pro hub but it requires a work around discovered in this blog to force the shades into pairing mode.

This trick requires a phone with bluetooth and a scanner applicaiton.

I am happy to report that once pair they operate reliably using the generic Zigbee Shade driver, it would be nice if the shade driver could include battery level though.

Thanks for Sharing! I have been studying up on this and have seen a post from Melair, but havn't seen his actual blog.

Pretty sure im going to go for this solution as well. Now we need to find a way to get the battery level showing.

can you post a picture of how the tile shows up on the dashboard?

EDIT: You can try installing the driver for SmartWings Shades and see if the functionality is the same and if battery level is presented.

Dashboard tile looks like this, clicking the icon toggles open/close and the bar lets you select a position.

I will try the smartwings driver tomorrow and report back.

Thanks!

So I'm implementing Somfy in my new home, and am struggling with whether to go RTS, which I know will work with Bond Bridge or Tahoma, or go ZigBee, which I like for its two-way communication ability. It seems however that the ZigBee blinds are going to be a pain to integrate.

Any updates on this, and is it worth messing around with the new ZigBee blinds, or should I just stick with RTS, which I know will work?
