I have a ZEN34LR on my night table, and in several other places as well. One click on the up button: all lights on. One click on the down button: all lights off. Three clicks down toggles the bedside lights. I did a toggle on the down button because I didn't want to accidentally turn on all the lights. I put it on a contact strip on the wood, vs the wall.
Thanks for all the advice mentioned here, lots of good advice/options offered. Some good paths to go down.
As a side note, i've worried my wife with the addition of a sleep number bed to our room and my smart home hobby, the integration and buttons/commands where i can add a the sleep number app to launch her out of bed is gathering some steam/concern....
I do like they make a black version in the mini, although $$. Finding non-white smart home items is a little tricky, besides some switch faceplates. Hue Mini Tap Switch - Black | Philips Hue
These are fantastic. They are 4 buttons, not just one, but you can grow into it. You can wall mount it, or use it as a remote.
Great battery life, too, which I could not say for the Smart Things solo button.

I've used the Aqara buttons since I was on Smartthings. It has multi-tap, so I can set my bedside and living room lamps at a few different levels or toggle on/off. I don't have the issues other have had with Aqara stuff dropping off the network, so YMMV. They're super cheap on AliExpress.
For my night time shutdown I just use a virtual switch. The 'Goodnight' switch is on each of my wall mount dashboards and triggers a rule that switches off the media, lights the rooms leading to the bedroom for x minutes before turning those off and puts the bedside lamps on (the rule can only trigger between certain times so there's no chance of hitting it accidentally during the day)
As a Homekit user I also have that switch available in the Home app. Since iOS 18 is such a massive improvement I've added the 'Goodnight' scene to Control Center on my iPhone to make it instantly accessible.
For my guest bedrooms I have a Minoston 4-button Z-Wave remote (MR40Z) on each night stand.
Each nightstand has a lamp on a Z-Wave plug and the room has a ceiling light on a in-wall Z-Wave switch, with a ceiling fan on its on Z-Wave fan control.
I use the Basic Button Controllers app in Hubitat to program the remote like so:
- the "top" big button turns on the nightstand lamp it's next to
- the second big button is lamp off
- the bottom two (small) buttons turn all room lights(**) on and off
- double tap the top big button to turn on the ceiling fan
- double tap the second big button to turn off the ceiling fan
** "All room lights" is both nightstand lamps and the ceiling light
Overall it's a fairly inexpensive and easy to manage solution.
I'm a huge fan of the Zen34 and Zen37s as well. I have a pair of Zen34s on the Nightstands for the Bedroom lights, and a number of Zen37s scattered about with more complex functions.
The battery life is Outstanding, and the Zen37s are USB-C rechargeable.
I've eliminated almost all of my Smartthings Zigbee buttons by replacing them withe these Zooz devices.

FWIW, the Zen37 and Minoston MR40Z are the same HW (same OEM supplier, IRRC). May have FW differences... @spartysh32 - if you wanted to try one of these you might want to go w/Zooz version as probably better service and higher possibility of FW updates if turns out needed.
Disclaimer: I have several Minoston plugs and they have all worked well for me, except for one where the physical on/off button failed. Minston support did not reply to my requests for assistance. But not dumping on them...their products have generally been very good for me overall.
Gotta say, my preference are Pico's on a pedestal... Have one on each night stand. The center button turns off the whole house..Turns off tv, locks all doors etc...
I got one of [these] Zigbee buttons from a large online retailer (https://www.amazon.com.au/Premium-Material-Waterproof-Control-Temperature/dp/B0CJ26MJ18/ref=sr_1_8?crid=27JYSSEG58ZT4&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.nvFL_likxccgbNLP6yai4Y56RL9AC6eRrS2rkt0lARUFnLvKSdGQvM2Cgvms6VaJ2R_7Rm1XheFBLyh4G1pk3D_SETJVZ_OJ409oAAo9F5-TZFtXb2ocBs8KkcFQi7JEKT9xWarlQl4K-s6gMdPU0vmxOTAsFGpoz7l4LbaC1pmNjbp0dg1tqaTXu_Nuyx2SH--wQLSbsmCHMPWJHzPSeaIFE4FPO8wpgq2eYASsoiSxGtn4Vaa-yTg8zEmoOOCo3kOnQ3t5oGZEIg6iNJk0_ycguYyJ2HJydlmdYkPzZv4.FPSqj5XGGLyZ480zlyY82FqAT-MmLKDvLXCeSaIHNSQ&dib_tag=se&keywords=Zigbee+button&qid=1727932962&sprefix=zigbee+button%2Caps%2C249&sr=8-8) to put out by my pool (due to its IP rating)
I didn’t know that the base is magnetic, so I’ve been able to slap them onto the fridge and laundry appliances for random events, like overrides for automations.
Guests have commented on ‘finding the bedside buttons do several functions’
I actually contemplated sticking one on the car for presence but never got around to that. Hmm …….
Currently unavailable.
We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock.
I use the Zooz Remote Switch Zen34. Both buttons are set to "toggle"; it doesn't matter which one I push. If the lights are on, they turn off; if off, on.
I tried setting up fancy, multiple option devices for my late wife. She rejected them. Now I find the utter simplicity of my set-up to be just what I need.

Like others around here, I use the SmartThings/Aeotec button. Happy with its reliability and battery performance.
SmartThings/Aeotec buttons here as well.
I actually use my Logitech Harmony remote’s home control buttons. They don’t make those anymore but the idea to have your TV remote double as your lighting remote might transfer to another product if you can find one. And of course if you have a TV there…
Philips Hue 4-button. You can customize each button to do whatever you want in Hubitat, including multiple functions per button like tap, hold, long hold, release, etc.
They look very professional and they magnetically mount to the wall panel so you can just pop it off and take it to bed, use it like a TV remote, etc.
I've got these all over my house, both as regular old wall switches in various rooms and then as little remote controls for various other Hubitat magic. For example I have one of them mounted underneath the bar-stool countertop in my kitchen. I can sit there while hosting a party and tap the various buttons underneath the countertop to change the music volume, next/prev tracks, activate lighting scenes, etc.
Have to concur that there has been no more useful addition to my HE hub and overall home automation than to commit to the Lutron Smart Bridge Pro and Pico remotes. Once you have the bridge, the flood gates of consistent, completely reliable and (in my opinion) good looking lighting control will open wide. I've outfitted two houses with Pico. The one that we sold had Caséta dimmers and Picos throughout, and our current has Insteon dimmers and Picos througout.
The first Lutron Smart Bridge Pro I bought was just $50 CAD on eBay and the second was $90 CAD on eBay. I now only use Zigbee buttons in a few places, where the looks don't matter to me. Picos live next to both sides of our bed, with the wall mount adapters and Claro plates. Looks like there are in-wall switches on either side of the headboard, but they are just wireless remotes, like the majority of our house has. We can control a lot of actions from either side of the bed and NEVER have to worry about them not working properly.
