Hi there
I have Hubitat c-8 pro US version.
I have a three Aqara water leak sensor
Also i have Aqara Door/windows contact sensor.
Also i have THIRDREALITY Zigbee Smart Garage Door Tilt Sensor and Aeotec ZW164 Z-Wave Siren 6.
They all work well.
All of them are on my main floor house.
I am thinking to move my Hubitat Elevation hub to basement.
Is it possible to see signal strength in Hubitat hub.
I just want to make sure they do not loose signal strength after i move hub to basement.
The stock zigbee map does not show signal strength.
The community "Zigbee Map" app does indicate relative signal strength, but I wouldn't rely on it for any big decisions. The zigbee devices I have out in my detached garage all show "Bad" signal connections in that map, but they've all been performing flawlessly out there for years now.
The best thing you can do for your mesh (especially zigbee) is make sure you have repeaters well-positioned to help the battery-powered devices.
For both zigbee and z-wave, any mains-powered device will act as a repeater for its respecive mesh. Exceptions are some zigbee bulbs, and any z-wave device paired LR (as LR devices do not particpiate in any way in a z-wave mesh).
