I hope they have a good cage around this octopus, otherwise it may escape with all their networking gear!

Nothing crazy. Unifi equipment and a few servers for blue iris, Plex, pihole, homebridge, etc. Cable management needs work. C8 is located upstairs

I didn't notice the encore for the comic this morning UPS finally found my new switch that they delivered to the wrong house in the wrong town and now I have updated to a network rack. Needs a bit of custom cabling work but I love the RGB lighting. White is 1 GB, Yellow is 100 MB, and Blue is 2.5 GB. It breaths diming in and out. Almost feels like it a prop from Lost In Space.

Moved your message. What's the digital doohicky on the left?

It a Gen 2 Cloud Key from Unifi. Not the plus version because I didn't need a hard drive for cameras. Sucks they charge $99 for a rack mount for the Cloud Keys:

you could probably get someone to print one for you on the cheap....

This is 25 bux

Already looked on the Etsy and other 3d printing sites. The cost of a 19" insert to support a small non plus Cloud Key with materials and shipping is about $100. I really would want to do an insert with the Cloud Key and the two Proxmox nodes I have on the shelf. I would look so clean. My 3D printer can't do 19" print so I am checking with the robotics crew at the high school if they can give me some time on their large printer.

Check if there are any maker clubs in your area too

Any model worth it's salt would be broken up to fit on a standard print bed.

Print3dSteve at Etsy made a custom 1.3u mount for my cloudkey and two Beelink mini pc's for my rack. All cleaned up.

I love a good upgrade!

This was really inexpensive ($150 CAD) and I already had the 500 GB Samsung SSD on hand. Runs Monterey. So much faster response from Homebridge and for the first time ever I'm expeiencing realtime smooth dimming of my Insteon lights from HomeKit. This is something I did not think Insteon dimmers were capable of from the HE>Insteon integration, but I now realize it was just becuase I was running an old version of Homebridge on a computer that wasn't delivering everything available. I notice the two HomeKit automations I have are also now very fast and responsive.

I finally got around to creating an IoT VLAN and Wifi SSID on my router. For wired devices, I added a little 8 port unmanaged switch connected to my IoT VLAN port and everything is working nicely.

Now I just need to move over the last few echo’s to the IoT SSID / VLAN and I’m done.

I collect (and do my own repairs) vintage Yamaha (and JBL).

Don't have an MX-1000 as I'm partial to earlier and later stuff, but they're solid units if you take care to check for DSBG (Dreaded Sony Bong Glue). Otherwise they can Chernobyl.

Currently my main HT setup is an RX-A3070 as a front end to a pair of bridged PC2002M amps to my JBL 250Ti's, and a bridged PC2002M to a B460 sub. I also run an older SVS PC-12 Plus sub in a rear corner.

I once had over 100 pcs of Yamaha gear, but once I obtained the TOTL in each year's lineup, I sold off the lower models. I still have about 30 or so pieces.

I got my start buying early 80's separates while stationed in Germany 81-84.
