G'day all, for those wanting to use Shelly Dimmers with a lamp (eg bed lamp) I've just published a Compact case design that allows you to have it installed in-line on a 2-wire lamp cord.

ps, Make sure you get your sparky to inspect or install it if you live in a jurisdiction that requires it.

Doesnt the dimmer get hot? I have a dimmer that pushes that its to hot after a while on and its mounted in a tight space

It has some ventilation through the sides where the wires pass through - but no they don't get very hot or I'd have printed them in PETG instead of PLA.

Is there a way to use a Shelly WiFi Motion sensor with my hubitat hub?
I am looking for a motion sensor that can report illuminance level.
I am getting bored of changing the batteries in my Aeotec Multisensor...

the EM shelly has arrived and I have installed it
The drive works correctly
I have a few questions:

can i change the control power from HE?
is it possible to detect the switch change immediately using the
OUTPUT SWITCHED ON/OFF URLs (like Shelly WiFi Switch)?

@roberto.grosso.rgr the driver is what it is. In other words I'm not actively working on it and its opensource so anyone can change or add anything they want.

@anon81541053 all Shelly devices that are battery operated are MQTT only. It saves battery life.

I ordered 2 and they have just arrived.

Is there a way to make sure the hue motion sensor firmware is up-to-date without a Hue Bridge?

Anyone here had issues with Shelly Dimmer 2's dropping off the network if your router reboots and takes down your Wifi?

In the FB group people have made comments about this with the newer firmware. Not sure if its being addressed or not yet.

Yes, I am have a shelly 1 amd rgbw2 fall off wifi, a second shelly 1 is fine, but all work in my dashboard, strange.

Shelly products - Has anyone ever used a Shelly product to control the speed of a harbor or Hampton Bay room ceiling fan. Would the new dimmer do this task?

I tried using the dimmer to control a pedestal fan and it made strange humming noises so I dropped the idea.

Add it to shelly app.
Set fixed IP in your router (or in shelly app - but not recommended).
Create virtual device - switch in HE and save it
Select Shelly driver for plug in created VD and enter its IP address from point 2.
Test it and enjoy it
