Can I use it in place of a fibaro dimmer module? I have my fibaro hooked up to a retractive switch and it still works awesome, but I'm not paying top price for more of those things if I can avoid it.
If wifi/hub drops out, does the shelly work anyway as a dumb dimmer (again, fibaro does).
I can also vouch for the dimmers. I initially had trouble with flicker but playing with the trove of options allowed me to sort it out. I think that's the key with these - the myriad of options allows you to set it up exactly how you like it.
I have Shelly EM3 and it works with Shelly Switch relay driver. However the refresh rate is very low (1 minute) when comparing to integration with HA or Homey where it was instant. If I do poll/refresh device, it gets new values, but then its consuming quite a significant resources of HE.
No, I believe this is most probably driver specific. Within driver, you can select refresh interval of 1min up to 30 minutes or manually/polling. This will however refresh all device information and I think its causing the load for system. Shelly device itself is updating instantly, same the Home assistant using shelly device and same Homey, which I was using before HE.
Depends what you need it for. Shelly reporting and device itself is reliable. But its not as instant as with other controllers (this is not shelly fault). But even if you do manual (or RM) refresh every 15 seconds, HE can handle it and you get almost the same result.
the purpose is to prevent the main switch from switching off due to too much power consumption.
I have asked about Shelly EM with clamp, but i had no useful anwer.
For some appliance i use smart plugs. for others i need to put the device in the wall box, and shelly 1PM was my first idea.
This is proof that my English is bad
Thanks @Evilborg
Sorry
I wanted to know which driver was needed to correctly read the power of Shelly EM .
and if the drivers "ShellyUSA" work for the EU devices
SAme question for Shelly 1PM too
