Room Lighting Turn Off Issue

I'm trying to build a simple room lighting automation that turns on some ambient lighting in my dining room during two hub modes and off for the rest, as well as turns on when the main dining room lights switch is turned on and off during other modes. I think I have it configured correctly as it mostly works, however, every few times the mode changes away from the modes that I want them on persistently ("early morning" and "night"), even though it registers the turn off event, it doesn't turn off the lights. Furthermore the app shows as no longer active, even though the lights are still on and the indicator is set such that it should be on if the lights are on.

Here are the logs from a series of mode changes. I've noted two instances where it doesn't turn the lights off on mode change and two where it does. In each instance where it fails to turn off the lights, it still turns the scene status off even though the lights are still on (both physically and device reports on in HE). I'm pretty sure there's a bug in detecting the active scene because when it shows as not active, even though the lights are on and scene indicator set per light status, all I have to do is open the scene, change nothing and hit update, refresh the apps page and it has properly updated to "Active" status.

LIGHTS WERE NOT OFF. PHYSICALLY, AS WELL AS DEVICE REPORTED ON

There seems to be a bug that has not yet been identified. I posted the below, and there's a similar post linked from there. I had to recreate the room lighting apps that were giving me issues, and after doing so, it's working as expected.

I created a new app, even using a new device as my plug just died today. So it has no relation to the previous app and I didn’t even include the light switch into the mix yet, just mode changes. It shuts off sometimes but inevitably loses track of the state of the indicator, thinking it’s off when the light is still on, and then stops shutting off the lights on mode changes. This clearly seems like a reproduceable bug.

Here is the new app.

Here are some logs, highlighted where it worked properly and didn’t. Seemingly random.

Here is another instance where I switched it on going to night, then toggled back and forth between night and late night and it would never shut off, then I pick evening and it shuts off. It’s like it starts ignoring certain modes, and which ones are not consistent.

Same kind if issues. Something seems broken. Sometimes it works fine, other times I look and the lights and the switch are on, but the app doesn't show that it's active and all of the conditions are reporting as met to to turn off. It just simply doesn't turn it off. I seemed to have fixed an issue in one room by creating a virtual switch and making a rule to turn off the real switch, then had the Room Lights app turn them both off. But now, even doing the same thing in another room, im back to finding a garage full of lights on when everything says they should not be. I like the ease of use to set up for motion lighting in Rooms Lights app, but I think I'm done and just going to go back to making the more troublesome and complex rule machine rules.

I appear to be having similar issues, where my kitchen lights do not always seem to turn off but given I am a totally newbie it could be something I have done.

I compared the Kitchen parameters with another room that seems to work ok and found one key difference - the kitchen did not have a transition time set. The Kitchen consists of white ambient bulbs and colour bulbs and the other room has just colour bulbs. All managed through Cocohue and the Hue hub, all bulbs are hue.

So I tried to set a transition time and there was no facility for me to enter a transition time. I then tried cloning the room that works to the kitchen and the transition time set the delay time. When I was setting up room lighting in other rooms, the kitchen was one of the last I did, I had an activation and turn off issue that seemed to fix it by setting the transition time.

So not sure if this is how it is supposed to work or if it something I have done,

Was this ever fixed in room lighting app? I am experiencing similar issues.
They really should remove the app if it doesn’t work and no one is willing to fix it

I don't know if it's of any help but I've been having similar issues with Room Lighting using Hue bulbs. In my case I was using the built-in 'Hue Integration' app, switching to the CocoHue app fixed it for me.
